Energy Saving halogen bulbs

a few old birds(electrical tao chew) was embarrassed by me - when they just told me NO SUCH THING on earth, gave me 1001 reasons/excuses like 12v halogen already very energy saving. And then i show them what i bought. :yamseng:

they may have the best skills on earth to wire your house but do take note that they dont upgrade themselve - i mean after all - they just want 3 meals - bring the dough home - end of the story. they are the same ones who told me about electronic ballast will kill your lamp fast... :dancingqueen:

btw, you can just buy these energy saving halogen off the shelve, you need to go to the respective brand's major distributors.

One of the major advantage of these halogen bulbs beside energy savings - is that they dont generate much HEAT - in another way - they wont damage whatever things they are shining on.

the only disadvantage is they a little more than normal ones - from $6-$8.00

MaCe, wanna check with you if use the 3M stainless steel cleaner on the ss hob, how long do I have to wait to ensure that I can safely start cooking? Is the cleaner substance very volatile and any fumes or smells?

Cheers!

Lemon

Other than for it's juice, zesty rind or uplifting fragrance, a lemon can be used to:

- Kill any funny smells and remove chilli & oily stains in a blender or food processor. Put a slice of lemon inside the blender and pulse several times. Remove the blended lemon and rinse blender/food processor clean.

- Remove any bleachy smells from fingers, hands or feet after using any bleach products to clean bathrooms, soaking clothes, etc. Cut a lemon into quarters, squeeze abit of juice into affected areas and scrub using the same lemon. The acidity of lemon will neutralise the alkaline smell & slimy feel of bleach on fingers or toes.

- Naturally bleach & clean any wooden ladles and spatulas, after unsuccessfully scrubbing them in hot soapy water to remove the oily chilli red stains. Rub a slice of lemon on the stains until clean and rinse when done.

- Naturally disinfect the chopping boards after cutting meat and remove smells too. Rub a slice of lemon all over the chopping board, rinse well and dry.

Tried and proven. Cheers! :yamseng:
