As I am a fan of woody texture, my ID recommended me to Kompacplus for my kitchen cabinet top. Apparently it not only looks good, Kompacplus is heat proof, scratch proof and even stain proof. Sounds too good to be true right? To verify its claims, I asked for an A4 size sample to conduct my own test! Test 1: Scratch test using kitchen scissors Result: Light scratches can be easily wiped off but I managed to permanently scarred the sample after giving it a super deep scratch. Definitely more scratch resistant compared to the solid surface at my current place. 2. Chopper Test Result: To be fair, most of us will not chop on our precious kitchen surface right? But Kompacplus survived the butchering session with minor permanent scars. 3. Leaving a boiling pot of water on top for 5 minutes Results: No visible damage 4. Direct Flame Result: To be fair, this is a wind proof lighter (stronger flame) and I did not move the flame at all. The surface started to crack after 8 seconds. If I move the flame around, Kompacplus survived even after 20 seconds. 5. Stain test with turmeric paste and soya sauce, leaving it on for 26 hours Results: For those who cook curry, you will know that turmeric is super hard to wash off. After wiping with a wet cloth, the turmeric caused a yellow stain on the surface. However everything came off after I scrub the stain with JIF. In conclusion, given its aesthetic woody design and high resistance properties, I should be using Kompacplus for my new place (; Anyone using iquartz, may I know what are your reviews?

Hi, I think its about 2k for the tv console due to the black mirror and relaminates to the other visible areas including an area at the side of the tv console. For the dining area - its around 1k + as they changed the cushion for the bench as well.

Hello Vivien, I have emailed you my ID contact. Hope he can be your right one. After meet up with different IDs and contractors, I find that most of them already have a standard template for us. Thus it is important to find an ID whom you can discuss, share ideals and give you constructive advices. Google for pictures of projects you like, and show them to the IDs so they can know which direction to start. For example when I see any nice ideals on pinterest, I will whatsapp them to my ID and see whether is it possible to incorporate them for my place. A few more well known IDs I arranged to meet cancel my appointment in the last minute giving crappy excuses, and I strike them off immediately. Some doesn't seem very happy when I tell them I will buy my lightings from taobao, I strike them off too. End of the day, choosing ID is like choosing life partner, find the one you are the most comfortable with (; The conventional rainshower which CAN be used will be this: And these type of panel rainshower system, no no no...

Hi all Just to share my thought All product bought from Euro come with 3/8 inch fitting, wheras our local piping using 1/2 inch , you just need to go any hardware shop and tell them you need to buy a 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch "reducer "or an "adaptor" , which cost around $2.00 or lesser. You may want to bring your mixer to the hardware shop to show them , so that they will be able to help.

Hi anemone, Thanks for your compliments. The renovation would not have happened without Jay and Mr Yeak. They both put in alot of thoughts and efforts into this reno project. When I first thought of getting irobot, I informed the 3 men in the project, namely my hubby, Jay and Mr Yeak. I said that we need to discuss where to place the irobot. Both hubby and Mr Yeak asked me "what is there to discuss? Just place it next to a powerpoint." Jay said "we could incorporate a space for the irobot in the carpentry" and he eventually drew the designs. Jay also thought of the metal mesh for the toilet base cabinets, coz I told him that I might want to put some wet stuff there. I had imagined that after washing the toilet, the toilet cleaning liquid bottle will be wet. I could simply put it into the base cabinet and let it air-dry there. Mr Yeak and his brother (the carpenter) thought of the sloping cable inlet for the TV console and many other carpentry details. I thought of the toothbrush space and double glazed windows. This has been a long reno journey. I am so glad to finally move in.

@oceaneleven finally someone got me! I told my sister and hubby and they say the layout is fine. I really don't like the idea of separate dining and living you can't watch tv and dine at the same time! But we decided to get the house anyway because we bought it at 28k below valuation First thought of hacking the bedroom near the main door and move it to the current dining area. So dining and living will be together. But hubby says cannot change too much of the layout if not will have problem next time when selling the house. So decided to only hack the wall separating dining and kitchen so that the house will look brighter and airier and sofa will be against the living room window. Do u have the link to the house with the similar unit to mine? Maybe I can get some inspiration from there. @Takaishi the website is still under construction anyway it is selling at 229 come with a 13w Phillip LED bulb can choose warm white or cool white diameter is 30 cm and height is adjustable. But height of bird cage is 60 cm. When the website is up I will post it here @alfredt , spot on! I am Indonesian

Dulux, Gentle Tide, 90GY 63/047. I super liked it too Thank you mishmish! Will load more pictures soon It's a pouf! Something like a stool, but not as hard or structured as one. The shop had many many colors, and we bought 2. They totally help to add a pop of color in the house
