Bathtub is in!! Bought from Hoe Kee at $400+. Made of fibreglass. A real challenge to fit a bathtub in cuz Anchorvale Horizon's 4-rm flat bathrooms are infamously known to be pathetically small. Got my taobao bathtub mat here for safety: http://detail.m.tmall.com/item.htm?id=23252612363 *status: still on ship waiting to be delivered. Will post actual pics up once loot is here.*

Hihi, I got my window grilles from Teck Guan Aluminium. You can look for Albert (I think he's the boss) at 9150 5525. He's mainly Chinese speaking I think, middle age uncle. I paid a total of around 1.3k for my white powdered grilles. Oh, and yup I did hire a cleaning company after renovation. (It just seemed too much to have to clean up the entire dusty house ourselves after handover, and we didn't really have time either, cos rushing to move in on "auspicious" date.) Was recommended Mrs Sparkles, but they were fully booked, so we went with Clean Homes Singapore instead. Paid $589 for full post-renovation cleaning and sanitisation, they did quite a good job according to the hubs who was there to supervise.

Hi! Can I check with you what is the window grilles contact and cost? Also, did you hire a cleaning service for after renovation? Any recommendations? Many thanks!

yea, the whole thing is 4 feet. the ~18cm difference is covered by the wall (it's concave at the dining table area) and because the legs of the dining table angle inwards so it looks shorter than it really is

Hi, I got a package with my ID which includes perspective carpentary drawings. Have started on the renovation works. Just wonder, in general, when should he be giving me the perspective drawings? After the tiling works, coz only then he can take the measurement? or before that? Thanks

Long overdue house updates So we've been living in our house since early March 2014, which is almost 4 months now. I'm sure I share other homeowners' sentiments when I say that one of the best feelings you can have at this stage in life is living in a space that you can truly call your own. For those of us who have put extra effort (and $$$) into planning our renovations, the feeling is that much more fulfilling. The Mrs and I are really enjoying our home (as some of you have rightly pointed out) and these days, that's all we really do - enjoy the house and each other's company. When it comes to decorating and buying other household items, we have been pretty slow on that front as we are rather careful to only buy stuff that we need and which won't end up as clutter around the house. Plus, since we have a baby on the way, we have to keep our floors as clear of stuff as possible. For that matter, we have been hoarding up on baby items instead! So in the next series of pictures, you will notice that our house has still been kept pretty bare, even minimalist. I would however, like to fill up the walls more, with our pictures, art etc. (I have a certain aversion to bare walls). Arming myself with a wide-angle lens, here are some pics of the house in its current state, at different angles. MASTER BEDROOM One of our favourite spots in the house. Nothing beats chilling on the bed and watching a movie or tv series just before bed. A little view of the curves on our wingback bed. Adds a nice stylistic touch to an otherwise plain headboard. Made use of the original MBR recess area to put art. This way it makes the space look purposeful, as though it was a design idea built into the renovation process. A view of our 'luxury' item, a no holds barred walk in wardrobe, but by this time full of clothes. We're running out of space. Help! We're thinking of putting the baby crib in the WIW at night, this way we can attend to our baby easily. When our kid(s) grows up, we can then think about placing a boutique-like display cum storage cupboard in the middle of the WIW. Showcasing the carpet we recently bought - adding a little texture to an otherwise cold looking room. Our Simpsons-esque caricature based on a photo taken on our wedding day! Anyone interested??

Hi Any idea if that is do-able?? The bidet I'm referring to is like the Toto washlet type, ermm Algreen bidet kind. I forgot to buy that for the plumber the other time. Will it be easy to fix it ourselves ?

I am renovating now and I've engaged Chng Poh Guan as well. Mr Toh is my contractor in charge, understand there are 2 Mr Tohs there. So far so good. Very responsive, always answer phone calls. Workmanship is good, brought us to view his projects before we signed. We chose them cos of workmanship, responsiveness and price. Easily cheaper than most IDs. Only thing is uncle dunno much design, most likely give u contemporary. best is u research what u want first and tell him what u want. I want industrial + vintage, he can do. Just have to show him pictures of what we want.

Thanks for consoling me! Haha. The floor tiles are grey in a lighter shade. I'm still trying to psycho myself that it's nice.........

Close-up of the vanity laminate. Love it! Moving on to the shower area...... Before After Hafary feature wall tiles, KDK ventilation fan, Hansgrohe shower head and Ikea shower curtain rod. WTB loves the effects of the wall tiles. Mesmerizes her. The initial plan was to install shower screen (sliding door type). After much deliberation, we decide not to put another screen in the already cramp toilet. So we decide to KISS (keep it simple and sweet), shower curtain that's it.
