Materials That U Regret Using/ Installing
hihihi replied to st002's topic in Home Maintenance & Repairs
Bought 2 Elmark water heater. One was working till now, the other rarely used coz in spare room, but spoiled on the 3rd mth. Call them for warranty service, they wanna charge me $30 for transport, even if the equipment is faulty. I check their warranty card: I swear never to buy any Elmark brand electrical applicances, ever. -

Tower Cooling Fans With Temperature Selection.
hihihi replied to morgulboy's topic in Electronics & Electricals
to me, tower fans wind power are weak. Only for those space conscious. They do have rotatable high speed fans: http://www.toyomi.com.sg/products/fanhighv.htm -
the floorplan given by HDB is drawn to scale. meaning that u can measure the floorplan and find out quite accurately how the actual measurement will be. Therefore your real cost should not differ from the quoted cost too much. e.g window grills whereby it is charged by area, is still required to be measured on site coz a little difference can mean quite alot to them.

should be easy to DIY. you can also check out the mfg website for further details.

1) Toilet. Tiles supplied by HDB is those small piece + light colour. Alot of grove lines and being light colour, stain is very easily visible. Soap scum are a pain to brush. -
Anyone Know Where To Find Polycarbonate Or Acrylic Sheet Retailer?

those flated factories inside YS-One in Yishun has it. -
actually there's lots of complains on our estate, mainly the inaccessibility between blocks. Also those ramps which has yellow coloured sides, why can't they just make it beveled along that yellow side so that wheelchair or pram can just ramp up from any direction, those are also potential tripping hazards. Ya, and that senseless blocking of the bridge, the whole design of passage is d.a.m.n stupid. the playground and exercise corner are yet another failure. Playground land plot is so big, yet it's a miserable play station decorated with unrelated exercise gadgets with a now missing seat. So is that a playground or a exercise corner? Exercise corner seems like it's only fit to train commando with same pathetic few poles here and there, and they call it the exercise corner. place some real monkeys there and they'll love to hang on to those high poles. Gzzz...

I recalled u said that the problem lies with u lack of a 3rd hook to make into a wavy pattern

just do a L-shape sink support terminating before the chute, and leave the chute exposed. Of coz also change it to the new style rather tight fitting stainless steel door, then will have no smell, and no need to bend.

Conceal Of Electrical Wirings After Hack
hihihi replied to simlim's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
doing cornie are pretty cheap, doing false ceiling is not. For electrical wire, it is more eye pleasing to hide everything inside cornie. Signal cable e.g tel wire, are not supposed to bunch together with electrical wire. Therefore what most pple do is cornie to hide electrical wiring, and tel wire runs above the skirting using ultra thin trunking. Some laminate skirting even have space inside for running tel wire, then it's totally hidden. wired internet is always faster than wireless internet. U can actually drill holes through the walls the pass wires through. but all these u will need to plan before hand. -
normally that's what pple do, just replace that particular hollow tiles without hurting neighbouring tiles.

ya, only top floor will have this. You can call HDB to come and change. My design is I do a cabinet door.

when in doubt, immediately stop payment.

Conceal Of Electrical Wirings After Hack
hihihi replied to simlim's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Yes, it's true. Nanny HDB rule #183794920 says that u cannot do concealed wiring yourself. New flats does comes with conceal wiring, but if u wanna add, redo, shift or split etc etc, that portion still requires u to do exposed trunking. -
LCD or Plasma TV

specs looks pretty similar. So it boils down to look. Somehow I prefer Sony's thin bezel, but the hole in the speaker there abit ugly. Samsung one thick bezel abit obiang.. I presume Sony one will be priced higher too. -
