  8. Aisay! Really just in time?? GOOD GOOD! So excited! Flood us with pictures!!!!
  9. MmmM may be more than just a few hundred... the last time the entire transaction was thousand plus.. mm ANYWAY I'm SO HAPPY RT IS UP UP UP! Here's my plan for the recess. We're now in the midst of all the STUPID procedures we have to follow... waiting for the respective authorities to get back to us. The black portion shows the black italian tile ($10.50/psf) one which is used for my foyer. So we have to use the same for the recess. List of things to be done. 1) Level up the recess to the same height as our home. 2) move out the door and gate 3) build sliding windows 4) Build a full height shoe cabinet 5) Build a small stool for wearing shoes 6) Boxing up of pipe. 7) Light and doorbell 8) Painting of area As of now I dunno where to put the stool yet.. how ah?
  10. hello hello!! Finally Your own Tblog!! YAY hehe mmm My parents used the 4 stones to put below the fridge and the W/M. So it doesn't matter what size you buy it can always be adjusted. It's true that if you don't wash flood style then no need. mmm Without skirting it does make it a little harder for your contractor to do. Cos usually the tiler does not cut so accurately at the sides as the skirting will cover it up. Also if you move your furniture around it will brush against the wall easily. That said, it's up to you really.
  11. YAY ok ok I love the stainless steel ones most!!! hahahaha Looking forward to your Tblog
  12. WAH that wire trunking above your hob cannot la! That looks awful! The guy has no pride in his work le! As for the mosaic.. it's not misaligned I think, cos the whole sheet of mosaic is placed down together. It's the grout which wasn't cleaned up properly and covers part of your mosaic. Ask the workers to clean them up. Anything that you're not happy with, tell the workers also can... but if you don't get to see the workers... do what I did (at times) paste a notice with CANNOT and a big cross on it. hahaha Call Ah Soon and tell him ba. It's tough when trying to make do and work at the same time...
  13. ... the tiles.. bedroom no floor tiles? And kitchen cabinet all that how long? mm is this his first quotation for you? If it is.. negotiate somemore.. 32k + electrical? I noticed you dun have electrical.
  14. WAH that's a lot of things. Everything hacked? then yours hacked faster than mine. YAY means tomorrow clear and Sat can tile! I just noticed.. you're giving him a little more than 1 month to do...
  15. Wah secretive le. I'm also very curious leh. And you are right.. cos you guys are doing quite a bit of carpentry...
  16. haha good to hurt them once in a while.. esp the bad ones Hey Rendell I just clicked on the links on your signature... very nice mosaic tiles leh! I love them... where to get those mosaic??
  17. mm but can start on other stuff first? usually hacking of the other things can be approved first while the wall will wait.. Mine was like that. My renovation started off then 1 week later they hacked the wall when the permit for that was approved...
  18. cos my loan is from bank... then have to go and call up my lawyers again... and draft a new mortgage which includes the recess area in it. I think those who take HDB loan wouldn't have so much trouble...
  19. Met up with him? ya he's usually very busy. Even with my good friend he forgot to meet them completely. haiz. Hope he gave you a good quote today!
  20. heh heh like my Ikea Table in my kitchen la.. mostly used for putting things. But you're right a table like that will come in very useful. But I think that mosaic will look fantastic with the table against it!!!! MMm You might want to have the console a little higher if the tv is going to rest on it? So that when you sit on the sofa you will be at eye level with the TV
  21. Not your fault la no need to apologise. But you know what the best part is? They refused to let us buy BEFORE the bank loan. They insisted that we must let the transaction complete before submitting application to buy the recess. HDB and the Bank. haha smells like a conspiracy. But you're right on the second point about asking them to lower fees. This is, in fact, the third time I'm approaching them in 1 year. I suspect people who took up HDB loan have it easier...
