*agreed* My balcony, previously, was cement and painted. But there weren't any glass windows, only grilles. So over time the paint turned to paper like texture and dropped off in chunks. I reckon the same could possibly happen in the toilet as it's high moisture in there. Kitchen is alright though.

yup the bedframe is from the same shop. Mine doesn't have the storage thing though they do have it available. However not in white and I wanted a white frame.

I bought some of my lights from A lighting too! Alex has some photographs of lights which he has but not on display one. If you see other shop have, can describe to him he can get them too. hehe mm i think all the PVC pipes in the toilet is like that. I first tot that mine will be an eyesore too but I realised that it's ok in the end... after all the other stuff are put in

hehe Mine's customised. So I emailed her the quote I wanted and the draft layout. I also told her the size and colour I wanted and she made a simple draft for me to see and approve before I paid. That one cost me $50 and measures about 90cm X 60cm

Just an update on my contractor. After a few delays and promises to come he did finally come on Thursday. He had been sick "apparently" and had to finish quite a few projects before CNY... Anyway he came pretty late in the day after spending a lot of time elsewhere... and stayed very late just to grout my floor and change my locks and stuff.It was very late and that was the last day he's working until after CNY. So I guess really have to thank him for at least settling the horrrible grout before cny.

I also kept window grilles and windows to save money. But when the whole house was done it was upsetting to see how odd the old grilles looked. SIGHHHH But really saved a lot ba.

mm then how did the discussion go? The pipe one is BAD! that one MUST rectify... otherwise what if the water bill skyrockets?

Wah say even drawn out liao le. *pai seh very long never come in to see* hehehe This layout is better for moving about. even if you want your sofa nearer with a space behind for walking it's also ok. As for the dining table.. I think in the kitchen is fine ba. unless you are the sort who needs A LOT of cabinets and moving space otherwise... make top and bottom cabinets but halfway only. so that when you put the dining table it wun be too squeezy... IMHO
