Reiki, Have to agree with the rest of the spammers that ur resale flat is really well done up. Looks even better than those new HDB Premium flats. Your kitchen has the moden look while the MBR has the resort feel. How I wish I have a flat like that to stay.

$1480. We decided to buy this after comparing similar "copycat" models from other shops while we were there. Didn't get the Ottoman (rounded sofa seat) as we felt we didn't need it. Bottom half and back support is made of PU leather. Seats are made of macrosuede (similar to velvet). As for the 5 cushions, one side is PU leather while the other side when flipped is macrosuede thus it's interchangeable.

Also bought a Calypso black macrosuede (similar to velvet) sofa on offer (only valid for 1 and 2 Nov 08) from Cellini at The Furniture Mall at $1480. It comes with 5 cushions (one side PU leather, the other side macrosuede). We liked it for its comfort, uniqueness and flexibility as the corner sofa seat could be rotated outwards for more sitting space or rotated inwards to save space. Visited The Furniture Mall this afternoon. Selected this DNA Life wallpaper from Choice Curtain & Furnishing. Was quoted about $720 for half a wall. I am intending to paste this on the wall behind my king size Serta bed. Pattern 0214

Should I Ask For A Revaluation?
tower replied to smartbuy's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
If I would you, I would do a re-valuation since the valuation prices are still going up slightly. No harm if u can save a few more $K. Prices on average have gone up bet 10 to 20 k over the last 2 mths depending on the location. It's ur call really. -
Congrats on your new home. Looking forward to see the transformation of the flat. Where is this 3NG unit located? Perhaps for a start, I suggest hacking away the wall between the kitchen and living room to allow more light to pass thru and look more spacious.

Bought some cute items for my bathrooms from Self-Fix DIY. Mickey & Minnie Door Signs (would paste this on the wall behind the WC) Cute Duckies Non- Slip Decals (would paste it on the bathroom floor)

Spam...Really nice house you have there. Especially the kitchen and MBR toilet. Must have spent a bomb on the fantastic reno.
-
View from kitchen window I think you are staying in #08-265? Seems that your actual reno differs a lot frm your ID drawings? But you do have a nice living room flooring there. Happy staying!

Chong Pang is in YISHUN lah... Got famous Chong Pang nasi lemak and popular TOTO outlet at 7-Eleven.

They could easily buy a brand new and bigger one with the $45k COV that we offered them. At first I thought I had a good deal too. But subsequently, not really so. Shall not mentioned why as I would be reminded of the heartache.... Ya, I do like the simple design of the white and black toilet tiles. In fact, the white tiles have a floral pattern. It's just not clearly shown in the picture that I have taken.

Really nice hse u have there after all the reno. Looking forward for ur finalised pics. Spam spam...

Yest went to see the unit with the contractor. He pointed out that it's almost impossible to create a space for the kitchen hob without damaging the homogeneous tiles. Furthermore it might weaken the whole structure. We then ask for alternatives but it seems that time needed for reno and budget are both critical factors. My wife and I may decide to just shift in afterall. Perhaps go to IKEA to find other storage options instead. No point spending more money and in the end still not feeling happy with the end result. Anyway here are some more pics of the unit. Tonight, will be going down to our future home and discuss reno plans with the current owner's reno contractor to see how to solve the kitchen cabinet problem. Have also gotten advice from other ID companies to seek the original contractor as he would have the source of the original tiles and laminates. Hope to have a favourable reply from him tonight. If not, I may have to redo the whole kitchen cabinet to suit our needs. I may want to shift the fridge to the dining area too. Headache liao!

Your MBR toilet is indeed very nice. Got 5 star hotel feeling. Wish mine could be like that. Maybe short of one marine fish tank or wall mounted LCD panel? Haha...Can enjoy while doing big business. U got a nice long bathtub there too. How much did u spend to do the whole hse reno?
-
Still not too sure if i would want to do up the wallpaper for my MBR due to budget constraint. Any idea how long would the wallpaper withstand wear and tear? I heard from one of the shops that it can last abt 6 - 8 years.

Will do. Thks. May I know which company does he belong to? Care to share his carpentry workmanship skills?

Buyers Cheque Bounced!
tower replied to july-winter's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
And based on the current resale market, if the "prospective" buyers want to do a 2nd re-valuation, they would have to foot the costs. And there isn't a guarantee to them that the valuation might be lower, 75% chance the new valuation would be higher if u have done ur homework on the resale market. It might work in your favour instead. Firstly, u have to protect ur seller rights. Ask the buyers' agent to see if they are sincere in still buying the flat. If not, u can jolly well use the OTP form which they sign and sue them for not exercising. Maybe they have problems paying up, thus give all sorts of excuses. It's ur call, really. -
Very nice house you have there after the reno is done. Waiting for more bedroom, kitchen and bathroom pics. Was wondering if your wallpaper was gotten from Goodrich? How much does it cost to put up one panel of the wall and the installation charges?
-
- May I know how much does the curved tempered shower screen cost and where did u buy it from? - Was the mirror with storage bought from IKEA? I have seen a similar piece while I was there. If not, where did u purchase it from and at what price?

Went to IKEA Alexanda yest to source for ideas for storage cabinets for the living room and kitchen. After discussion with my wife, we decided to engage a reno contractor since it is going to cost as much as compared to buying from IKEA. The custom made carpentry would be more resilient too. Does anyone have any good and reliable contractors to intro? As a norm, how long would they need to prepare the carpentry works at the factory in advance and installation on-site? As time is running short, I would need the carpenter to take measurements first in end Oct 08 and if I give them a week to install during the 1st week of Dec 08, is there sufficient time?

You can try hacking the kitchen wall and create a space for the dining area if you do not need such a huge kitchen. U can refer to my blog for a sample of the space. Should be more or less like mine. As for the MBR, since you are only temorarily staying, suggest that u dun't waste $ on WIW. Quite impractical.
