Pour water on wood, you will get warping for sure - wood absorbs water. This is not rocket science. If you want a free test, go to Floor Options, they will give you a a free demo for Pergo & cheapo china-made laminates. Within 5min you can see the difference. QS, Pergo and other European brands of laminates have already met the these standards. The only difference is the level of tolerance to spills. I think even the European brand overnight spills will seep into the wood. It happened to us before, but it also dried out & over the week went back to the normal. QS does not boast 100% water resistance, I don't know about other brands. Even if they did I would not believe because, that to me is rocket science!

If I know what I want, which I definitely do, its more sensible that I deal with 1 person & cut-out all the unnecessary middle-men than I would be paying for. I would rather put my money on good quality build than fluff design which I believe are a dime a dozen but unfortunately are uplifted to more than their actual worth.

This is primarily a matter of personal hygiene & your tolerance level - if you find the WC still serviceable you can at least consider replacing the seat cover

I was also really keen on the whole inner-ring burner thingy, coz of the easy maintainability & all that, but as it i'm using a no frills La Germania SS hob. its been working fine since we got it, even with soups spillage cleaning it is not that a big deal. My hood however sucks big time, its a La Germ as well. So for my next apt, I think I will invest in a much better hood meant for asian kitchens, meaning Fujioh & I would get the hob, hood package. I don't think I can go wrong with this

It can be very tempting to & natural human tendency to make one's decision because of the freebies, but one should also understand the difference between privilege & entitlements. Jaskel's service of providing 3D & daily updates seem to me as his value to his customers. But when choosing ID / contractor we must also strike a balance in gauging cost, design & chemistry with the contractor. More often times contractors retract their value services or start charging for them coz of some "cheapskates" who abuse this privilege. Lets hope it does not happen to Jaskel

When RF pass through wall, there will be signal degradation, bomb shelter walls are thicker than your normal walls & this will add to your signal loss. Nothing beats a test run though, you can easily plug-in your wireless inyour bomb shelter & use your laptop to measure the signal strengths before you commit to setting up the infra for your "server room". Do bear in mind bomb shelters are poorly ventilated, this also affects your electical equipments' life-cycle.

We are planning to do the same thing for our dining table. It was finished entirely in veneer, right down to the bench - but my bench was ruined with a deep scratch on the 1st night when my buddy parked his butt on it. Not his fault - Levis' rivet jeans - veneer killer anyways we are also looking to laminate our table. I'll let you know if I find something. Please do likewise
