  3. 1. 9 years ago, my boy was under phase 2C registration, we actually was staying within 1km from RSS, ended up balotting and we were out ! No choice, we registered him to Min Xin Primary, same time put his name under waiting list (No: 21) and talked to Pricipal (Chia, already out) a few rounds and vice Pricipal (Mdm Koh, already out). Ended up wife to do voluntary work as librarian there for a abt 2 wks. On 24 Dec, Chia called:"you can come over"......The boy had been doing well since P1, always within top 10 in same cohert. No 6 in PSLE within RSS, he also managed to get 2 "CUPs" and cash for school in competitions. 2. Malay boys give me no good impression: can't study well, fail to excel, mentality issues, distract class, can't be a motivating factor.... too many negative factors as to study lah. P1 to P6 is the "foundation" period, must have "solid" base to compete in sec. No a race discrimination issue. Secondary school can mix with malay, indian.. no problem.

I have one basic principle in selecting primary school for my 2 kids (now boy 15 & girl 13): No malay pls. Now the boy in RI, the girl in Bedok Green. Their primary school: Red Swastika Primary.

This unit is sitting on the upper deck, in the N-S orientation, has unblocked views and enjoys only the morning sun. $894psf ONLY, top 2015 April. D15 district. Right behind the unit is the muslim......
  7. The statement is definitely "clear & clean" to HDB, but not to seller/buyer. Now both fall into the "hole". Don't forget, buyer can take a maximum of 14 days to exercise the OTP (resale), if the booking date is on end this month when buyer is eligible to buy, on first day of next month HDB update the quota and show, "buyer cannot buy" - whose fault? - Hurry the buyer to exercise otp & submit resale application by end of the month? - Seller make sure to sell from first of the month to mid of the month? - or should a better system be in place which always show "available quota for the next 15 days"? So everybody understands? HDB fails to realise the implication of the 14 days, or the praticality of the system, just know how to put words nicely to its.....sigh red tape! Rooms of improvement to be done.
  8. 1. Washing machine needs no platform at all, can just "sit' on the floor. 2. Need to consider following for washing machine's location: - Power outlet - Drain hole - Water supply 3. Washing machine is best placed at a location which has above 3 items "next" to WM.

  10. I expect the "stove" concept in fenhshui is facing a challenge with change of technologies. More ppl using "portable" electrical cooker/streamer/induction cooker/kettle/oven....see boarding houses, no more gas, all "portable" elecrtical stuff. One moment put here, facing there, another moment go to "somewhere" & some direction ! By then, sure another FS "theory" surfaces, but for sure Gas suppliers better standy to diversify businesses now!

  13. I'm sure HDB needs further action to "fine tune" to close the "hole" in this system. Within 14 days, many things can happen. System should reflect the "actual" SPR Quota number for the "next 14 day" or even slightly longer and on-going. Can not just based upon "first day of each month", - may be HDB doesn't have man-computer to reflect this based on "real time" or "14 day later". You can write in to the press, see what HDB replies. May be HDB will tell you more specifically that it is seller's responsibility to accept $1k booking before 15 of the month. Accepting 1K after this date is seller's own risk?? Actually, yr agent should have highlighted this "risk" to you before hand.

Click the particular unit you want. 5. Get Started....will prompt you to register email, password.. 6. credit card number.... 7. Report will be sent to your email account.
  15. Don't know what to say to encourage you leh. I now missed those days when my late mother whacked me, now I know these all out from love. I disobey & hurt her heart. Pray that your kids come round to sense as adult soon. Myself as father of 2 (15 & 13) read my role as - role model - Identify their strengths & weaknesses, let them aware of such, improve on the weaknesses, "ignite" the strengths to higher level. - Children are "gifts" from God, not only treasure, but to make the gifts have more values. - Clear obsticles in front of them, prepare the path for them. If they fall, be it, just render them your arm, they will learn from mistakes. - Identify the shortest routes and encourage them to follow, of course, not walking alone. Let them know that you "love" them , NOT BY WORDS, by actions. They will appreciate, especially when grow older.

    Kua number = mathermatical game = for you to pass time. By adding the last 2 digit of the YEAR you born, eg 1999, 9+9=18, 1+8 =9 For male: 10-9 = 1, kua is 1 For female: 5+9 = 14, 1+4 = 5, kua is 5 Why don't add first 2, centre 2, all 4...... COMPLETELY NON-SENSE, nothing to do with fengshui! ALL ppl born in the same YEAR have the same kua,.....

  20. Right behind this unit is the muslim cemetery, this unit will be on the "highest" point of the plot with moning sun & partial evening sun. When think of month maintenance fee scares me off - my family hardly use those facilities, so I have been asking myself why should I pay for it?

My concern is whether worth to put $400k cash there now, till 2015. Or may be I can use this 400K to make another, say 80K, in stock market within this year. - Or park $400K for a unit available NOW, one is new, one is 4-yr old. May be stay there for a while & rent out. My concern is : Can get a better price (say can save 80K~100K) at end of year or beginning of next yr. - Just sold condo last yr, moved to HDB resale 5-rm this Jan, qualified for 1-yr MOQ, bank's lock-in ends Dec this yr, outstanding amount abt $81K. Intend to apply for full redemption this Sept, need 3 months' notice. - As mention earlier, I like gardening, as well as to see/count stars at night, the "roof" is for that purpose. Do u think now can get those run down FH land at abt 1.2mil? Put in another 400K-500K for rebuid.

Its also compares the price of units around nearby properties, many "data" included, need to sort out those you are interested. I'm quite surprised HOW they get the data from URA. URA's web transaction reflect price/date only but no exact unit number.
  24. -Great location -east cost/downtown -Dokata mrt, Waterbank lagi near mrt! -great view - btw east stack block west view, west stack block east view. Waterbank all NS facing - a U-shape to "collect" southern qi, great fs. Singapore's latitude is 1 deg N, considered as "Northern sphere". -good amenities Entrance not so grand - Got HDB blocks to "buffer" some noise from main road - Basement carpark might have "water" problem orginated from the Geylang river, if walls not treated properly.
