To me, paying a higher price then was worthed it because he could go and return from sch easily. He's already in the sch then but we wanted nearer. Within walking distance. We also got a nicely decorated bright spacious flat with a nice view at a very high floor. Compared to our first flat also a 4rm where we got no view at a low floor, area smaller by 20sqm, home was bit dark and amenities not so many, shifting to bishan was very worthed it even though the buy price diff between 1st and 2nd flat was more than 150k. Can walk to bishan mrt. Got link to circle line and NE line. Now, just sold my bishan flat. Feel sad. Worthed it to sell? Ya, also same. Valuation? Almost fainted when I saw it. 510k for 4rm.

Bankrupt can apply hle and list as owner, subject to hdb approval. Tried that. But loan value is very low even if one party has much higher income. All applicants must have stable income. Plenty of documents to submit, bank statements maybe 12 mths, credit bureau reports for all, ... process quite long. Wrote a very long letter to hdb detailing why a loan is needed and how it would have helped. They approved a loan with specifics. Amount low. Banks dun lend to bankrupts, joint applicant with non-bankrupt also cannot. Full-stop. Bankrupts as occupiers, no prob. Bank ok. HDB also ok. If your parents are not working, getting loan from hdb is really a gamble. Even if working, approved deduction is only what is contributed to cpf oa for all parties. Even if you earn more, they won't loan more since got bankrupt, what more you got 2. If you are eligible for hle, try lor, and at the same time, include a letter stating your need and problem. Neither have I. I supposed these must be the entry level taps and shower. But then again, why not? Buying them separately may not make much of a diff. For example, A not-so-branded but nice-looking basin tap may be 80, bath mixer 100 shower head 100. Cost 280 excluding gst. Buying as a set, you get similar designs. I'm sure quality is there too. As for myself, I bought hansgrohe packages for my new place. No idea why, but I just like the design and the feel. For your kitchen tap, not sure if you can get it elsewhere cheaper but you should feel comfortable with the price and the product since you are going to use it for long term. If it makes you feel better, my kitchen tap cost more than yours. However, there is also nothing wrong with made-in-china stuff. Of course, the price may even be much cheaper. Functions the same. Quality I dunno. It all depends on your preference and budget.
