I was at Hansgrohe showroom today. They having this Focus E2 Twin Package. lowest price - Crometta 85 Vario Basin mixer + Shower mixer + Shower head - UP$839 Now $600 (exl GST). Not sure about other brand, but there is a lot of technologies in Hansgrohe tap. I cannot decide on Alpha or Joven storage heater. Alpha have 10 yrs warrantry on tank and 10 yrs warranty on heating element. Joven have 10 yrs warrantry on tank BUT only 1 yrs warranty on heating element. Anyone can clarify on this ? Thks in advance.

If U compare KG leather and the feel to their other brand that FC is carrying e.g. CI and Moods - KG is way much better. Not sure what model u are looking at, but if you go for the older model a 3.1m (approx) KG sofa can goes to $4500 (nego) at IMM - maybe my taste outdated and FC clearing very old stock.

I think T5 is more expensive than those flexible LED strip. I checked at Sim Lim - flexible LED strip is about S$28 per m excluding adaptor.

I am also looking for swing lamp for my bed. however I would prefer dimmable LED type.

My ID told me for old resale flat the NEW HDB ruling is that we are allowed to conceal the electrical wiring. However the main problem is that if the wiring is conceal, HDB will not test or certified the wiring and so we will not buy fire insurance for the house due to wiring. In summary, the HDB allows us to conceal the wiring, however as we are not able to buy fire insurance for the place for cause of fire due to electrical wiring issue. So if there is any fire due to wiring short circuit, the insurance company will not pay for the damage. Is the above correct ? Thks in advance.h

I tot for all door entrance including bath room & main door, they will waterproof these edges with silicon preventing the water from leaking into the wood ? If not then will have major problem. BTW I am not able to find the The Vogue Range in quick step website. Is it same as Prespective Range ?

Hood will minimised but will not get rid of all the cooking fume. The brand and model which you install also play a part depending on your lifestyle. eg. if the hood is designed for light cooking, then you will not see the diff in heavy cooking. And I also think hood maintenance is an important factor. If hood is useless then why all foodcourt/resturants/zhi cha uses one ? Hope above helps.

There is factory installation manual for all hood stating the distances. It will be good to follow that instructions - do not listen to ID or even supplier. The factory will provide the best distance based on the model that you are having. One point to note is that if the hob is too high, you may not able to check the cooking easily esp when you are using high pot. As my maid is doing the cooking who is quite short, i need to be careful that the hob is not too high. Above is my 2 cents...

Based on my understanding, ventilating - hot air being channel out of house via dust duct - normally found in resturant or hawker center. recycle - hot air is being recycled after passing via hood filter with the kitchen. HDB only approve recycle type

Better be safe than sorry - double check with your electrician just in case they overlooked. It actually depends on the total loading from your other items like air-con, washing machine on at the same time ... etc.

Hi Summerflowers, Any problem with the Brandt induction hob (2 hob type) with the HDB electricity loading ? My ID told me for old HDB flats, induction hob will overload and cause the house to tripped ?

I also thought of getting domino - in fact 2 domino side by side - one with 2 gas hob burner and one with 2 induction hod. The reason for doing so that I am not able to find one full size hob with above combo. However price is expensive ! so still thinking ! Maybe wait for GSS !

I always like the idea of not having the look for my keys to enter my house - just swipe my wallet over it to open the both gate and main door. For even better security, main door can use biometric (fingerprint) in case you are worried that U lost your RFID card outside. Esp when I go down for a short while, I prefer to just take my wallet and mobile phone (carry another set of keys is a hassel for lazy people like me). I feel there is a need to install digital lock on both gate & main door. To just install one digital lock on the main door is not good enough in my case. When some one is at home, I prefer to have the main door wide open and my gate locked - so that the wind can flow into the house. So if the gate is not able to install with digital lock then I still needs the key to open / lock the gate when they return/goes out. In another case, if I am returning back home to empty house (both main door and gate already locked), then the I will still need to look for the key to open the gate. Since I have already found the key to gate, to open the main door with key is no longer the issue. So I feel feel that install a digital lock on the gate is a important consideration to truly maximised the advantage over price.

Thanks for reply. I read somewhere to use rain shower you need to have storage type water heater due to water pressure in standalone heater too low. So I need to know if this model is OK since it seem the cheapest in term of operational cost.
