I was thinking of installing Gateman F100 or V20 on my HDB main door. Problem is during rainy days, rain will comes in and cause my front gate and main door area to be very wet. Is Gateman F100 or V20 suitable in such condition ? My first choice will be V20. For my HDB front gate, I will not be able to install F100 or V20 because someone will be able to unlock from inside if he can put his hand from outside through the gate opening Correct ? Am I able to check on access info from these lock system if i need to check time of entry or leaving ? Thanks in advance.

Saw LG Model WD-1404TDS5 which is almost the same as LG 14331 except with DUAL SPRAY STEAM. Pricing is almost twice of LG 14331. Any one using this model with steam function ? Is it that good ? Kindly comment. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am looking for a 4 - 6 camera CCTV Camera Surveillance System with Harddisk Recorder for Home. I will be installing a home broadband at home, and I can monitor via PC at home or via iphone ( via wifi & 3G ) outside. If anyone using reliable system on the above pls provide contact. Hi, I was looking at Fujioh F1200V / MF110V. I was told by the sales that as Fujioh MF1100V is using ventilating (not recycling) exhaust type, we need to install a duct to let the air flow out of the kitchen. As the result, HDB will not approve this Fujioh hood model. HDB will only approve recycling exhaust hood e.g. 800MK2. Is the above correct ? http://www.fujioh.com.sg/ May I know if anyone have install this hood model in HDB kitchen ? Can this model be installed without the duct to draw the air out of the kitchen so that I have no problem with HDB ruling later ? Thanks in advance.

No need home server or NAS . Just use broadband and an IP cam Harddisk recorder will do. You can get in Sim lim but better to ask someone to set up.

The point is if the problem is due to poor workmanship issue it does really matter if it is under warrantry or not. We have to be reasonable to draw a line between defect due to wear and tear OR due to poor installation in the first place. In my case is due to poor installation. No company will do a pressure test just because the customer feedback that the air con is not cold enough. Just ask them to rectify the problem. If they can solve without doing the pressue test is better still because it is quite troublesome. Keep insisting on the fact which is after they top up the gas and done a chemical wash the air con is hot cold. Pressure test is only done after all other possible cause is eliminated. Based on your feedback, I think the leak is at the location where they top up the the gas - not tighten back properly. The pressure test was offer by the Toshiba FOC after I feedback repeated over 6 months with them coming to check a few times to rule out the other issue first. I forgot which vendor did I buy from. Few year back. Toshiba aircon took over the everything after vendor installed my aircon. Maintenance is by Toshiba. Guess what, 2 - 3 year after installation, some parts in one of my air con start to rust and corrode, Toshiba changed a new set for me no question ask. BTW above is my good experience from Toshiba which is about 5 year back.

May I know what is a reliable (as in non-toxic material used complying to international safety standard) and enviromental friendly false ceiling board to use for my coming reno? Based on what I have read in quick-step website, for the caring of floor, there is a special care for the flooring. And also I was given the impression that we are not permitted to clean with water. Have to clean with special solution and micro-fiber mob ... My previous experience with other laminated flooring does not seem to have to such strict requirement - just mop with water can liao. I would make sure clean and dry the floor properly before installing the laminated flooring. Do make sure the floor is DRY or moisture will be trapped under the laminated and you will have a big problem (to your flooring and to your family health) ..... this is based on what I have read from the other forum. Do correct me if I am wrong.

Few years back I had this same problem. Even after they top up the gas the same is happening after a few months. So they did a pressure test for me FOC and found that is due to leakage in one of the joint. The leakage was so minor which they are not able to detect by applying soap water on the joint to check for bubble - installation problem. It is only using pressue test over 2 - 3 day then you can detect the leakage. All is FOC. My aircon is from Toshiba. Hope above helps.

To share my experience, I went to FC at Keppel on a weekday in causal wear. I am the only customer then. I was also not attended immediately by the front counter staff. This allows me to make my tour around the big showroom at my own pace , checking out the design myself, without the being followed by a sale person behind at all time. Depending on individual preference, I prefer such approach, because I do not ready like being followed around by sale person when I am browsing. (To some it may be interpreted as poor customer service). The Sales Manager was strategically standing around the other end of the showroom and had given me a great service and shared his knowledge on a good sofa. So good, that I decided "invested my $$" on the high end sofa (from FC) months in advance before my new flat arrived ! The following is my humble comment which I think may be helpful : - There are no pricing shown on the funiture piece (or at least I am not able to find any). - There is no descriptions shown the funiture piece like what grade of leather, what type of foams used for the padding, what material on the structure, spring system etc. To me this is very important so that I know what I am paying esp for a high end sofa. The Sales did put much effort explained me on the different grade among the " top grade leather " used in sofa to convince me that the leather used by them is the so call "first layer" which is the most expensive and breathable layer of the cow hide. - I am not able to find FC in-house brand - Mood Casa website on the net. Even thought this range is their least expensive range, but its the price tag deserves a proper website for it with detail info like Kevin G or Calia I. Till now my experience with FC was good ( or you may also say for the price tag they should be ...) However closing sale for a happy customer is only small and first part of customer service standard.... Will keep everyone posted on the delivery, item quality (in case the showroom quality is diff from the actual item) and after sales services etc. Happy Holidays !

Instead of getting 2 seperate items (oven & steam oven) why don't you consider getting one of those with steam AND oven function ? e.g. Bosch HBC36D763 Or HBC36D753B (45cm Built-in Steam Combination Oven) http://www.bosch-home.com/sg/singapore-pro...ovens/list.html I would like get something with steam AND oven function in one device, but was thinking what was the shortcoming as compared to 2 seperate item. Basically I would like to use the oven function to bake cakes/pizza/bread/cookie or may roast a chicken once in a while. Thanks in advance for feedback.

Pls correct me if I am wrong. I read in the papers sometime ago that electric storage heater consume much more electricity as compared to those individual standalone heater - something like 20% more. Again I could be wrong. That is why now I am considering those conventional standalone heater. Cheers !

Yes it is the encasement that I am thinking about.... If I buy one of those flexible led strip where can I get the encasement to fit the thin led strip to the cabinet lighting properly and cheaply ? As you say , I may ask the carpenter to design the encasement but I do not want want to give the carpenter an excuse to charge me higher cost.
