  9. I have been using Baby Ariston hobs for the past 5 yrs and the SS surface still shining though I am a heavy cook! Now searching a new hobs for my mum's home... but seeing all the available SS hobs in the market, in my opinion, the Ariston SS surface still beats the rest! The rest looks very faint and "thin"... the drawback is, Ariston still need 240V to power up the ignitor....

Carpentry work for living hall (show cabinet, partition & feature wall) 2. Carpentry work for kitchen (cabinets only) 3. Carpentry work for master room (wardrobe only) 4. false ceiling works (hall and master room only) 5. Whole unit painting 6. kitchen glass door 7. bathroom shower screen With this in mind, I need to source for:- 1. carpenter 2. electrician 3. false ceiling contractor 4. painter 5. plumber 6. gas piping works 7. tilings (for kitchen concrete slab) 8. Glass contractor BUT, anyone got any idea, which one goes first and which one ends last? Thanks for help.

  17. Hi, I have seen the pull out basket from sim siang choon, hoe kee and Song cho... with the most ex is song cho, almost triple the price of SSC and double to those of Hoe kee. But I also understand song cho using high quality of stainless steel and SSC are using chrome only. But do we really have to go for the Song Cho's good quality pull out basket to avoid rust?
  18. Hi, I wonder can we actually bargain on the total price quoted by the ID? I realised a few ID that I went, the never offer to give discount on the price, but keep cutting here and there to reduce the price to match my budget. Is it normal practice that their quote is so call "final" and non-bargainable? Thanks for input.
  19. Sorry, too many pages and no times to read through all... haha... just TWO questions, is this the one located along Upper Serangoon rd almost next to old Serangoon Shopping Center? Will they do a good job? Thanks and cheers!
  20. I just got my key and went over to see my place. 4-rm premium, same as ur pic! The "stupiest" thing I found out are:- 1. main door open towards hall, and not wall, thus blocking the way should u need to leave the door open. (can we overturn the door opening??) 2. Main switch board and Starhub cable main box at the wall partition btw dining and kitchen facing the hall window! There's no way to put an altar there (should u have one). And also the wall cannot be hacked! (is it possible to move the switch board to other location nearby?) 3. Door bell point at the same partition but in the kitchen? Duh! 4. Kitchen light switch at the same partition, thus cannot put glass sliding door, else how to reach the switch?? 5. Hall window one side "stick to the perpencular wall! Duh! It's not centralise in the main wall... means offset one side. 6. Hall window top part have beam, how to install curtain railings? 7. POsition of shower tap in common bedroom in btw wash basin and toilet, how to put shower screen? 8. Bedroom three, window position very funny, at the side, and another window at adjacent wall to access to aircon ledge. 9. Cable point and telephone line point not together and all rooms and living hall.... located one opposite another! Btw, I know the toilet tles cannot be hack for at least 3 yrs, but how about the kitchen wall tiles? If we cannot hacked, means the litchen cabinet have to be construct according to the powerpoint location?
  21. Hi, I just got my key to my new 4-rm unit at Punggol. It's a premium flat, thus I have minor reno to do. Full kitchen cabinet, full unit painting and false ceiling/L-boxes **** hall. With these 3 main item, should I get an ID or should I find respective contractor to do the specific thing? Will I save a lot without going thru an ID? I have a very low budget for the reno as the flat comes too early than anticipated. Headache! I know that I have to do all the coordination work myself without an ID. Please give your opinion... thanks for help!
  22. Hi, I just need to re-laying my living hall ( 24' x 10') tiles only.. What is the price for usual 2' x 2' homo tiles plus labour that is consider reasonable? How about hacking the current tiles and disposal of it? I am considering hacking or overlay, depends on the price different. thanks for help
  23. I have a system 3, two for room, use everynight, 1 for hall, use once in blue blue moon....does that mean the condenser for the hall will consume much energy on standby mode? Just because this is system-3, does that means the 3 blower sharing one common condenser or they have separate "condenser" in the condenser unit?
  24. Hi, I'm new here... since there a topic on this, I think I should just tag on it rather than creating the same topic. Mine is a 3rm resale... the previous owner had done a very low-cost whole flat renovation.... I'm not sure y on earth will they used rough uneven surface homogenous tiles for the whole entire flat (living, kitchen, 2 bedrooms) same colour, same type. The tiles surface are those, hmm... how do I put it... not flat and smooth surface but have contour like the "cream cracker biscuit" surface... I'm happening to be eating a cream cracker while typing this post, so the illustration just come to my mind It traps dust and stains very easily because it is beige in color. I thought these tiles are only good for wet kitchen of toilet. Anyway, I have live with it for the past 5yrs and requires lots or washing n scrubbing (thanks that my living hall not so many furniture to move when need to wash the tiles). I'm tired with the feel and appearance of the tiles. Time to change. But how much do I expect to pay for changing the tiles (hack, dispose, lay new tiles, buy tiles)? Can I overlay on it with new tiles? My living hall area is rectangle 24' x 9'. Thanks for any info.
