  7. Oh btw, we're having a swing chair alrite. Initial plan was to put it in the balcony, but later we decided to hang it up in the living hall instead.

  12. Removing old Wire Trunkings (week 1) We won't be rewiring the whole hse and my FIL and bro-in-law are helping us on the electrical portion (relocate/add electrical pts, change all switches & sockets, install new lights). We spent 2 Sundays removing (or should I say, ripping off) all the existing wire-trunkings. ## According to my FIL, the wiring done by ex-owner was very messy and dangerous. He did stuffs like tapping electricity for lights and sockets from the same wire which is prohibited.. and also not joining wires via proper method (merely using black tape) ## Me and WTB also happily pasting labels on the locations where we plan to have our switches at. Know what our diagram stands for?
  13. Hi All, Anyone know of any shops selling lifestyle products...,other than 'Molecules' and 'Tangs Department Store'? I'm looking to buy household items (decor, clocks, dustbin, kitchen utensils, etc)... which come in interesting modern designs and vibrant colors. Thanks in advance!
  14. My damage on plastering was $2500.. but I didn't plaster my kitchen, toilets walls So I think 3.4K for 150 sqm is reasonable, although I won't say its cheap.

  17. Hi All, Just to check whether the outdoor blinds are effectively in keeping out most of the rain? On stormy days, would it render useless in keeping out rain since it will get 'blown up' by strong winds? I'm trying to decide btw installing outdoor blinds, or install windows at my balcony.. Thanks!

  23. I installed a swing chair to the ceiling. Bought the hook & bolt myself from a neighbourhood hardware shop and asked my contractor to drill it in for me. My flat is 30yrs-old btw. Shld be quite a simple task for contractor since all they need is an electrical drill.
  24. Same for me and my WTB! The views of our new hse captured our hearts during the first viewing, and we alr know "its the one".
