  1. Here's a picture of the sunset from my living room window
  2. Hey joyous, thanks for the kind words. We actually aren't daring, we're just a little crazy.. Haha.. Luckily, wifey and I both like how it turned out. The damaged tile was very heartbreaking, we wanted to remove the tile and put in another one as we have a few extra tiles but contractor asked to let him try filling it up with marble gum before replacing it. We let him go ahead, the effects are decent, not very obvious probably because these tiles have weird patterns. So I guess we won't replace the tile anymore, too much trouble really. We can't wait for the long basin to be fixed up too! Its one of our obsessions, having that long basin where we can brush our teeth side by side.. We really like the idea of those wall taps too. Right now we're still waiting for the marble vanity top to be fabricated, once its done, plumber will come by to fix things up Thank you!
  3. I help you all change this to scientific talk.. This moth is actually an Atlas Moth, largest moth species in the world. Wing to wing they can grow up to 30cm or sometimes even more.. They are quite common in Singapore, once I went to Sungei Buloh for a nature trek and it was atlas moth season, saw quite a few big moths and A LOT of their caterpillars. These caterpillars are all about 10cm long or so. Really the largest of its kind, we are actually quite lucky to be able to see this species of moth fly around Singapore. Cheers
  4. Hello! Welcome to RT! We looked at your original floorplan and thought that the beam for the dining area was in the way. Thought of swapping the areas for the bedroom and dining area. Then scrolled down and saw that you had the same idea.. hahaa.. hdb really not giving us much choice right
  5. Ah, just found out today because you asked. 2 layers of glass, inner layer of glass is removable by unhooking clips.. Didn't try to remove the door.. duno can o not.. haha..
  6. Thank you! Will go down take a look!
  7. We have the same oven! Something to take note of, the metals parts are susceptible to rust and crusting if they come into contact with acidic washing agents. Be very careful and keep an eye on how the cleaners clean your kitchen. My oven handle started to get crusty, the sides (edges) of the oven without protective stickers started to rust (turned brownish). Can clean off with autosol but the protective outer layer has already been eaten away. So, be very careful with your kitchen cleaning!
  8. Hehe.. Its true, it does take some insanity to choose that particular tile. We are a bit crazy, hope it turns out well.. Will update more when furniture comes.. If it looks too bad, we'll disappear quietly.. lol..
  9. Greyish? Industrial style kitchen! Hahaa... Or sleek modern stainless steel grey look? A lot of brushed metal appliances these days.. haha.. Good luck with your reno!
  10. Yeah, we also feel that sparkle sparkle might be too much.. Go Soon Bee Huat walk walk.. SBH TOH GUAN Showroom : No. 3A Toh Guan Road East, Singapore 608834 Worth a walk la.. Or you been there many times le?
  11. Wifey says, why don't just cement screed the floor? If need to choose one, wifey says 3. I say find nicer ones, should be able to find THE one. The moment you walk by it, u see it, u don't need to ask anyone's opinion..
  12. Whoah! Where? I want to buy some bathroom accessories too! Share la..
  13. CONGRATS!!! Feel so relieved for you, your family and your cats...
  14. Hahaa.. Everyone seems to be buying this kind of washing machine.. LG making good profit.. Haha.. Eh, you stay opposite the road only right? I think we stick our heads out of the living room window we can wave at each other.. lol.. Can la, after reno done can pop by to see see if you want, should only be done in 2 weeks or so..
  15. Wish you a shun shun li li reno journey too..
  16. Sighs, the other day quite heart pain and unhappy, today feel better le, can talk about it somemore.. Wifey said this, no matter what, sub cons are meant to be monitored and managed by the main con, if any screw up, its the main con's responsibility. However I believe we all know its impossible to keeping a watchful eye on everyone at every single moment. I can't even make sure my cat doesn't puke where she shouldn't. Haha. With that said, I am resigned to the fact that sh!t happens. Told main con that we do not want those cleaners coming by again, that we will do all remaining cleaning ourselves. He then arranged for other cleaners to come down and do another round of cleaning with just water. This is at his own extra cost which we didn't ask for lor. Hai.. Anyways, yeah, Sengkang is *** **** far away from Jurong.. Haha.. Nevermind, I'll post updates for you to see here.. You can call it unique.. or you can call it weird.. lol.. Hua hee dio hoh! Is it much cheaper now? Hahaa.. Things always end up cheaper, thats why shouldn't buy early.. Hehe.. Bought it at 699 in May.. This washer seems to have decent reviews la, should be not bad at all. Do be careful with the chrome plated swing door though, it might tarnish if you leave acid or strong stuff on it..
  17. Yikes, my air con was also done by Gain City. Fingers crossed, hope yours is truly fixed..
  18. Omg, good luck there man. Hope u manage to settle everything amicably..
  19. Your aircon trunking picture too small to see la.. Haha.. Anyways, when planning your air con trunking, take note that you also have to plan for for the aircon drainage..
  20. Hope everything goes smoothly for you all tomorrow!
  21. I seriously think they're trying to play punk with you.. Show them who's boss!
  22. Looked around for the Arino Caprio, actually found shops that were willing to sell it at 380-395.. Wanted to get one of them but they were out of stock We like the theme and look of your place, very classy, clean and neat!
  23. Which all adds up to this.. A huge mess of different greens and browns. We like it quite a bit but most friends and family who have come to see it don't really like it. Pity. The name of this green marble tile is actually Forest Green (India) and we see a lot of forest in them, the green of leaves, the brown of trees, the veins which remind us of treebark.. We do hope that our wooden furniture will meld nicely with this floor. Will only find out when the furniture arrives..
  24. Shall post some pictures of the different tiles in our living room.. Thick brown veins.. Millions of veins.. White splotches.. Darker colored tiles..
