Tks for the kind compliments! As my carpenter is direct from factory source, I got it at $2.5k with the feature wall, the dark beam n tv console - all measure abt 8-10ft long. Initially 10 feet but as I do not wan joining for the laminate for feature wall, I might go for 8ft instead. I had received alot of pm for my carpenter prices n contact but pls understand that I preferred to share only when I completed my carpentry or u come n view the workmanship 1st. I believe quality is most important factor. I do not know what is the market price for carpentry either but I got 3quotations and they r similar. My carpenter is not the cheapest but I believe that workmanship n service attitude is an important issue for me. Hence, I am still acceptable with the total carpentry cost. My 14k carpentry consists : I am using 1.2mm white glossy laminate and internal grey PVC. All doors come with ABS trimmings. Some special what metal for my long suspended study table for good support... 1. Tv feature wall, beam n tv console (8-10ft) 2. Full height with black mirror shoe cabinet (6ft) 3. 2 sets suspended study table (8ft each) 4. 2 sets sliding wardrobe with aluminum frames (5ft each) 5. 2 sets toilet vanity with mirror doors ( 1 ft each) 6. Dry Kitchen top & bottom cabinet with tall ladder unit (13ft) 7. Wet kitchen top dish drainer cabinets (5ft) 8. Relaminate main door

Tks Mingzhu for coming in to help me answer. I nvr smoke yet the contractor wanna me inhale second hand smoke n die faster....Well, he said to repaint again till I SATISFIED! I dun care what he talking about the 4th coat - as touch up must pay blah blah blah...I gonna make him paint 3coats and up my carpentry. I shall see how 'dirty' that need to paint a 4coat? I personally felt that touch up NOT considered 4th coat right? How about the door frames and pipes? when do they paint? This contractor is those really typical uncle. Wanna say this and that till I must really give him a piece of mind, then he will rectify. Else he will talk and talk so many reasons but still do for me. Juz like to waste my breath nia. Carpentry - I outsource and I dun understand y chew interior design has such bad reviews. I saw this carpenter workmanship and I love it. The chew interior design also quite nice. In actual fact, I viewed 2 vacant flats which they juz put up the carpentry with my hubby, we had ample time to inspect the workmanship alone since no eyes staring at us. I am keeping my fingers crossed and will update the outcome. The quote is a few k different from my contractor too.

My painting which contractor said can up my CARPENTRY!!!

What I angry was he said normally only 1 coat so can up carpentry? How abt the ceiling then? I only asked him, how is he going to touch up the carpentry areas once its up? Then paint the ceiling after he wash up the flooring? N what happens if the paint drips on my carpentry??? Does all this sound logic? I paid $2k for gd painting with gd paint n obviously I hv expectations! Somehow, they really think women r dumb? 1st he said, oh, I will wash up after painting then u up yr carpentry..Then now told me, u up yr carpentry n then I will paint after that for 2nd-3rd coat only. Best part, he said, I can also paint 3coats b4 yr carpentry n if touch up will consider 4th coat so u hv to pay again!!! I try to upload pics on photobucket but failed... So far, I won't say this contractor is bad or penalised him for hiccups but pls la, tell me logic n reasonable explanation which I can accept!!!

Who can share wat is the procedure for painting? My contractor too kiang-told me after sealer the 1st coat can up the carpentry??? Oh pls...then hw to paint if got so much carpentry??? Also no need to paint the carpentry areas anymore? How abt door frames, pipes n main door? I am so fuming mad nw!!! Thank god, I outsource my carpentry!!!

My carpenter told me that if they stated below $200pfr, It's normally for either top or bottom kitchen cabinets only. The normal average pricing will be based on $200pfr - for top n bottom kitchen cabinets. This also depends on what price of laminate u chose n any special request etc. Sliding door wardrobe can b slightly more expensive for mirror n aluminum frame at $240pfr. I do not wan to refer my carpenter yet till I see my carpentry. I do not wan empty promises. Cheap doesn't mean gd n expensive doesn't mean giving you the best...I have alot of mirrors n some special request so I can't give breakdown. This will b unfair to the rest of the carpenter. however, I do hope that my above explanation do help.

R u very masculine? I fell in love...wif yr HSE la! Grey is such a cool subtle colour! I am using lots of it in my HSE too! I find that it looks better than black! I am also using concealed door hinge! Not many people knows hw to install though...

It's a sad thing that some agents r rather unprofessional n created more misunderstandings between sellers & buyers instead of helping to solve problems. I personally find it quite alright to hv open discussions with both parties since the deal is sealed. The only difficult part is the pricing negotiation and the paperwork as well as the process. Other than that, I dun find it is necessary to hide things between both parties. Anyway, dun worry abt yr case. Sometimes, juz discuss with the other party nicely. It might b some miscommunication only. Lastly, buying a home is a happy event so enjoy it!

The yellow can b chosen cos the tempered glass is spray painted. We r following my ID 3D colours n design so will b the same striking lemon yellow!

Tks! I saw the carpentry workmanship from the carpenter I shortlisted n I wanna request the same carpenter to come n do for me too...I saw 1 worker inside who is cutting, cleaning n pasting the laminate which I find the workmanship to my standard. Yeah, those big pcs one r preassembled in factory but I felt the one who is sent over to my place is very important!

1 of the wallpaper design - rustic concrete slab 3D effect We took 6 months to confirm this design! Not disclosing where we pasting till I revealed the completed product...

Laminate is the same. I guess it's the 2nd draft which hv more darker laminate. I prefer 1st one cos simple designs can compliment the cement screed tiles...You will understand once u see actual pics. I did follow closely to 1st draft in terms of the false ceilings n colours. What is special is not the design but the laminate chosen. Tks for compliment!

Worst for the worst then inspect on morning on the very day of 2nd appointment as 2nd appt always in late afternoon. Purpose of inspection is to make sure that flat is vacate properly. If an inventory list was done beforehand, it's good to check that those things that r stated in the inventory list r still there. If u decide to hack whole house, then make sure that flat is vacated n rubbish r thrown away only. Unless with illegal extension, then mostly inspection only on the day of handover. To be frank, I find that there r still good people who keep to the words and handover the house properly. Only a bunch r unreasonable... 己所不欲勿施于人! 做人应将心比心！

Can I check wif u if yr carpenter does some cutting n pasting of laminates at your flat? Is this normal? Or normally everything is already done n they juz assemble up the carpentry only?

Dear all, Even if under joint applicant, it does not means that both applicant can automatically get 50% share each. HDB does not interfere how you gonna spilt the cash profit. They will normally ask both of you to open a joint account and bank the cheque in. You can request to spilt cheques but amount have to b agreed by both parties. If there is a dispute during yr HDB appointment, the resale officer will not interfere. Hence, when a relationship turns sour, it's best to bring the case to lawyer so that the cash profit will b directed to lawyer n amount is spilt properly before it is dispose to u. This can only b done after an agreement is signed at the law firm with a legal fees involved.

Yr hubby is also quite smart not to list u as co applicant! It's not true you can't fight for your share. In Singapore, we still hv women chapter to protect us. What is the reason for divorce? Even if you cannot prove you paid, you still contribute to the household by cooking n cleaning? This prove that you played a part in the family! Once a relationship turns sour, how will he agree to include you as co applicant? Even if he agrees, r u sure that you will b able to get the share you wish? Pls do not trust juz words! Yes, you should seek legal advise..
