Hey thanks, will try to call them.

Wonder if anybody has experience in buying trees and plams? I am looking for approx 5m high palms (eg. Chinese fan Palms etc..) to be planted in my garden fringe for privacy purposes. I think the plam must be easy to manage, can grow pretty high, but yet does not have big roots. I understand if I approach those landscape consultant, it would be very expensive. Does anybody know where I can buy these and get them to plant for me? Thanks!

Hi, just wondering if anyone here has ever purchased a hot tub for your garden or outdoor area? Are there any brands are reasonably priced and low maintenace?
-
Mine is the manual system, although I am not too sure about the warranty as I got it from my contractor. My opinion is it is very realiable and does make your kitchen look more 'class'... if you know what I mean.

I have been using Blum stuff in my kitchen and wardrobes. Honestly, I think they are one of the best investments. After 5 years, still functions like brand new. 5 stars.

I think people generally have every right to voice their complaints. If they spent several thousands on just a sofa, the quality should be reasonable. Seriously, I don't think any sofa of a reasonable quality should peel after just a few years. I hope Furniture Club can explain to forumers. Recently, I bought a Fisher & Paykel Dryer. It was heavily discounted. Yet, the service team came down within 24 hours and changed the control panels without any charge. Although I am puzzled by why it broke down within 6 months, I am also satisfied with the service standards.

Was just looking around some nice cluster housing and came across this Condo. I think it consist of all detached houses and joined by a common pool. In fact, you can enter the pool from your door step. From the drawings it looks nice, but the proximity between the houses looks extremely close. I believe you can even look clearly into your opposite neighbours bedroom/living room. For detach house, the land is also very small. Jus wondering if anyone has viewed the place, what are your comments?

Recently, my brother-in-law bought a Rainbow vaccum Cleaner for about S$3K... The salesman came over to his place and demonstrated and it was suppose to clear bed bugs. I heard the waste water was so dirty, he was convinced to buy. However, I also came across a Karcher model that is also using about the same technology. The difference is that this one is going for S$600. I heard it is just as good. Has any forummer used either one? can get your honest reviews?

I bought some stuff from Bretz at parkmall before.. they were clearing stock on their mixer, and I got it at real cheap price. But that was after GSS. Must say they were really good stuff, the finishing still good after 5 years.
-
I use to get them from Bretz at Parkmall... They sell Hansgrohe stuff. sometimes they might be doing some clearance sale of old stock, so you might get it cheap. Can also try Bathroom Gallery...they sell Laufen.

In general, whether it is Kelvin Giormani, or Giorgio Armani, Leather sofas shouldn't peel... If it does, get a refund.
-
I think for good toilet bowls, it usually 'sucks' the waste water out before flushing with water. Normally, lousy bowls will just release water, but the pressure will force the smelly odour out into the entire bathroom. Why don't you invest a lttle more, get Laufen, Toto, etc...

Honestly, if your sofa was purchased from CASA ITALY, you should try approaching Small claims Tribunal... if you paid good money for it, I'm sure there's no reason the leather should peel.. I think consumers deserve to get what they paid for. I understand that alot of furniture companies use split leather which is susceptible to peeling. Technically, it is still leather, but the price is much cheaper. If you have read this forum, you would have seen many of such dishonest cases. I hope that Straits Times can help to expose such culprits by naming them.. This will prevent people's hard earned money from going down the drain. I wouldn't want to buy a 2.0 litre car and realise they put a 1.6 litre engine inside. It would be a scam if this was the case, and I would not let it go.

Hey Jeddie, I think you should call the management and threaten them with CASE or STOMP... hlkhl managed to get something from them... I think if Furniture Club continue to operate like this, their reputation will be seriously affected..

Honestly, I feel that forums are a good place for people to share their opinions. While forums cannot be trusted 100%, its definitely more CREDIBLE than salesman talk or ads by the furniture companies. I personally have been con-ed by many sales people. Hence, I would prefer to buy my furniture from more reputable companies or those that have been established for a longer period of time. Furniture companies or salesman that are out to deceive people - I doubt they will be around for a long time...

I bought my mattress from Cellini Nightingale in 2007, but I'm not sure which model. So far so good, firmness is still there and no sagging. I'm also too lazy to rotate, but no problems yet... Wonder if the prices have gone up now?
-
Bro, u r good... the last time I use the floor, kena blue black all over..
-
Surprisingly most mattresses only focus on good nights sleep but not for bed time activities. I suppose you need to look for hotel grade mattresses which can withstand prolong impact... I mean they are used and abused and caters for Caucasians sizes and up to 150kg load...

Looks like good price you have there. By the way, the MRF30B, if purchased, will they help me dispose off my current fridge which is still in good working condition?

Prs Not Allowed To Buy Public Housing?
ZondaR replied to bepgof's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Honestly, I don't think it is a matter of whether PR whould be allowed to buy HDB. The problem came up because the government has been importing too many foreigners without increaseing our housing and infrastructure by the same amount. It seems in the last 2 years, there were not many TOPs, but the government has been allowing something like 80-100k foreigners and expats in a year. So definitely, prices will soar due to lack of supply. In this case, they should give top priority to our Singapore citizens. -
During the 2006-2009 period, most of our construction companies, equipment, materials and even workers were pulled in to contruct the 2 IRs. This led to shortage of resources to develop our Public Housing. Construction cost also skyrocketed as a result, due to companies like Lian Beng, Koh Bros, Tat Hong etc... all focusing on the more lucrative IR business. This led to the short supply of HDBs, hence, price shot up.. the goverment could not control it, and furthermore the influx of few hundreds of thousands foreigners push it even further. Now they call it ASSET Enhancement...

Bishan - Toa Payoh Residents Jialat Liao
ZondaR replied to matrix0405's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
I have full respect for Potong Pasir and Hougang residents. They chose for the betterment of our country rather then for self interest. This is the moral of the story. Now lets do our part...
