Agree with cleong too. Warm air upstairs....to prevent cool air fom escaping, we closed all bedroom doors, balcony doors, main door and door leading to service yard....it is relatively cool downstairs with one blower downstairs.

Your existing place looks well maintained. Good for u as flooring is a major ticket in reno. Understand that u r keeping all flooring. What about the staircase and railings....do u like the current one which has that woody pattern.
