Was eyeing the LG washer too (this one w inverter right?) but settled for a slightly lower-spec LG bcos the functions of the former a bit to chim for my mother.. Looks like there hasn't been many new washer models since my reno >9 months ago huh? Haha!

First time I hear box-up pipes need approval frm HDB.. U all got pipes in the kitchen? I got, so boxed it up as part of my kitchen cabinets.. As for the pipes in my toilets i din bother at all; jus painted them white.. Jus curious, box up in toilets use wat material har? All of u all got shower screen in the toilets so no need to worry abt wetting the box-up or cabinets is it? Else, how they tahan all the water?

The breakdown for my electrical pts are provided in italics above, where applicable. Generally higher than urs.. But in the end, he got gave me $120 off. Oso the DB was provided "free" bcos he included it in the quotation but forgot to add in the price.. or mayb he already overcharged me for the other items liao.. But gave him the benefit of doubt anyway..

Frosted glass does not give a clear view to urself.. (personally i prefer clear view) Tinted glass only darken the glass; but still can see-thru.. Not sure abt DIY tinted/solar film.. ever see units wif films peeling off the windows d*a*r*n ugly lor.. but cld be due to poor worksmanship too.. Can consider those sola films that allow one-way view only done by professionals if ur budget allows.. My hse windows did it & lasted for >20 yrs still relatively perfect condition until I changed all the windows to clear glass during my overhaul.. i hv no issue of ppl looking into hse on normal circumstances (unless they stand on a step) bcos my windows 1.8m above corridor floor & i next to corner unit.. kekeke

Think the surface finish is the same regardless of thickness.. rem I learned frm some reno show on tv thicker laminates less likely to 'wob' (wat's the correct spelling?) & more durable.. but both subject to turning less white (don't think yelloow lah but more ivory ba) over time...

Wah so many stuff! n all like so bulky! Ya, better bring into rm else block the corridor (but wat such wide corridor u hv!) or kena stolen... keke... Where u intend to store in hse while the reno in progress? Bet they'll hv to be moved ard the hse esp during flooring works..

Ya sometimes different websites n different makers of tv say different things oso. Best is go to the shop view it frm the exact dist u'll b watching at hm n feel for urself..

Gd to have the largest possible TV if possible.. But think i read somewhere for 55", the optimal viewing dist should be between 2m+ & 3m+ for optimal viewng pleasure.. U may wish to chk it out..

Had always wanted a Samsung LED but still settled for a LG eventually for me.. that time based it on a HWM value-for-money review.. Only regret is bou a 42 instead of a 46/47.. As for soundbar, many shops recommended me a Samsung too (latest c/w wireless sub-woof) when i was hunting but still settled for a good old Philips (c/w blu-ray) eventually.. personally still think Philips best in soundbar..

A bit on the opposite for me.. last time more conservative.. but as age catches up tend to go for more modern contemporary (but must still be relatively simple).. hee hee Sis Makanology & Bro E> tt's the spirit man! 加油!

That's it! No basin below the mirror bcos the kitchen sink is jus next to it now. Oso need walking space ma. Originally, there was a big wash basin there & the kitchen basin was further at the corner of the kitchen near the windows. But still hv a mirror + glass shelf there more to suit our lifestyle/habits la.. we brush teeth in the kitchen. Hv a small corner basin in the common toilet though..

can continue to do ur research & gather quotes but just dun commit any purchase first lor jus in case.. must hv faith but must oso stay mindful & wise lor..
