  1. sigh went down just now but the guy insist on selling new sets at $2,399 was really tempted but that amt for a bedroom set seems a little too high guess i'll just stick to the 21" crt i have now no good news, coz think think think can't bear to part with $2.4k for bedroom tv set in the end only got a pair of earphones from sennheiser btw, the WD 500GB ext HDD was sold out since yesterday guess will go down to SLS and take a look next time
  2. to be exact 1ft is 30.48cm, but usually carpenters will use 30cm as 1ft i went to the beng tuan at jean yip building, 50 kaki bukit place you can see the flr no. once you enter the buidling the salesman who served me was named alvan, very friendly guy who followed up with some mistakes with my bedframe
  3. just go to the site http://www.clockco.co.uk/karlsson-little-t...8ace59053adf89f and create an account with your mailing address then order the clock can liao still find it strange how come order more shipping become even more expensive

  6. yo TYM, finally see your t-blog up liao nice floor plan you've got !! love your kitchen sink, beo it when i was sink-searching but way out of my budget
  7. hi val, think can't combine shipping for the clock liao seems that it's more expensive to buy more if get two clocks shipping will cost 35 pounds, but if only get one shipping is 15 pounds so strange right? think it makes more sense to order one by one if you alright with 30 pounds then i'll go ahead and order for you or you want to do it yourself
  8. watching it brings tears to my eyes really really really miss my dsh boy :P both looks so interesting where to get them and most importantly, how big a hole it'll burn? !!
  9. coz most of ikea's wardrobe are chipboard / fibreboard when you go ikea just remember to look behind the price tag, they list down the material very clearly
  10. hasty people tend to cause more delay hope they learnt their lessons this time if not next time you gotta charge tuition fees liao !!
  11. yo skywolf, remember to jio me when you going down hor !!
  12. didn't notice the price when i was there either, so not sure if the $39 is for child or adult but i can say some of the things there really cheap, and the salesman told me they manufacture to sell to others as well though i have no way of knowing if it's true or he is bluffing !!
  13. yes they've got it but i didn't try it out coz i find that it's a 'selfish' chair can only seat one person i like chairs that can squeeze two person, or at least one person and one cat :) maybe you can go down and take a look although the salesperson a bit like vultures, swop in immediately when you enter the shop but after you tell them you just want to browse around alone, they'll let you be !!
  14. me also want, can replace my dad's wardrobe for him saw someone in this forum who made a pole-system wardrobe at $1.4k, think around 6ft with sliding door !! thought of getting the same thing (from alumix) for my dad, but if it's solid wood from neighbourhood store lagi best

  18. hi skywolf, if you don't mind the chipboard / fibreboard type of quality you can try beng tuan, that's why i got my bedframes from they have really cheap wardrobes, you might want to check them out but do remember to bargain as hard as you can and die die ask for free transportation wor
  19. won't lah, donut is so good-natured most prob he will sit there and let my cats check him out once they determine he is no threat to their territory they'll start to play with him liao
  20. just came back from the IT show it's really tempting coz they are offering the pioneer 428 at $2,399 without free gifts that's like $2k off the price i paid, so in a way i paid for the 'free' gifts went there thinking of getting a small tv for my bedroom but now seriously tempted by the kuro :jawdrop:
  21. yah there are so many different kinds of countertops around go for one that both of you like best we choose blue pearl simply because we saw almost all the granite colours and decided on blue pearl i remember going to a shop next to SSC at changi south to look at all the granite colours so many but our eyes just cannot leave blue pearl
  22. think tiles are used by more people as 1. no peeling problem even after years 2. you can't have textured epoxy paint e.g. deep groves or flower motif 3. there's only plain colours, you can't have the mosaic effect compared to tiles however, epoxy paint should be considered if 1. you are on a budget 2. your tiles are still in good condition but you just don't like the colours 3. you like new things i.e. painting a new colour every five years 4. you already live in the place i.e. no dust from hacking or downtime from the renovation
  23. i got mine from my contractor just told him i want BLUM runners and hinges and he installed them for me
  24. one more place to see built in wardrobe is classic kitchen at tanjong katong complex they've got really good carpenters though price is on the high side was really tempted to get my kitchen cabinets from them but decided to let my contractor do it coz they don't do masonry works
