  7. Anyone bought bathroom mirror from taobao before? If yes, did you experience breakage/crack/chip of the mirror?
  8. Same here... after considering between Evorich & Supreme, i decided to give supreme a shot. Reason being Evorich's price is on the high side and salesman quite pushy in terms of signing contract. No formal quotation given and kept assuring less than 4.8K. But after probing if including skirtings, the guy said have to top-up which means will exceed the amount quoted. Supreme's price is consider reasonable if compared with Evorich since quality is comparable. Salesman is very nice and even after sales service is good. PM me if you want to have a look at the picture of my flooring.
  9. You may get a quote from another electrician to do comparison. They could go to your place for site survey. This is something which i will not save the bucks as my safety comes first. This electrician did for my friend and was good. So decided to engage his service. So it's really up to you. If you are keen, you may contact Jacky from Hoong Liang Electrical @ 8488 xxxx. Just tell him you are recommended by Angeline - owner of blk 437 tampines.
  10. I just installed Supreme's vinyl flooring, so far didnt experience any strong smell.
  11. Would like to recommend my electrician who just did rewiring for my resale 3-room flat. Not the cheapest but the most important thing is he did a good job. This is something which i will not save $$ as my safety is more important. If you are keen, you may contact Jacky from Hoong Liang Electrical @ 8488 xxxx. Just tell him you are recommended by Angeline - owner of blk 437 tampines.

  17. U can consider Hafele stainless steel sink, they have a showroom at Kaki Bukit. It's german made. I bought the 570mm (L) x 220mm (D) sink from universal union @ SGD 280 self-collect, delivery could be arranged at additional SGD $30.
  18. Hi donemyhouse, How's the IXISS rain shower set that your bought from Wasser Bath? Is it good? I just bought from them but will only install next week. Just wondering how's the performance and if material will rust anot?
  19. It is possible to get the renovation permit approved if the seller agrees since you will need to submit the indemnity form with their NRIC. Some might not feel comfortable with it. So best is to communicate with the seller first. I tried to do the same but i find that it's too much of an hassle so i waited till the completion date. If no major hackings, it will be approved within 3-5 working days. If there is major hackings, you will need to get a PE to get it approved first then submit the permit which will be faster.
  20. I think Hoe Kee's prces not cheap and i heard their after sales service not so good. I've got my sanitarywares from wasser bath, they have 2 branches which is geylang & balestier. I've bought their IXISS toilet bowl & sink combo at SGD 260, IXISS show rain around SGD 228 (depending on the design) & joven 25L storage heater @ SGD 230. As for kitchen sink, you can check out Hafele at universal union (geylang) which is german made. I've got the square sink approx 570mm in length, 22mm in depth @ SGD 280 self-collect. If you buy direct from Hafele, it will cost SGD 319 include delivery. I also got some racks from song-cho (kallang leisure park) since its lifetime warranty against rust, they offer free delivery above SGD 200/receipt. For lightings you may consider philips, they now have 15% discount if you buy online from their website with UOB card.
  21. If you wish to apply for renovation permit before the 2nd appointment, you will need to submit a indemnity form with the seller's IC. It depends whether the seller is willing to do that. Only after the 2nd appointment (key collection), then you are the flat owner. You may ask your contractor to apply the renovation permit the next day after the key collection. But if you have no major hackings or whatsoever, renovation permit should be approved within 3-5 working days.
  22. I guess it's better for the renovation contractor to advise. You could ask them to go to your place and have a look to see if it can be done the way you want to be. That's the most accurate.
  23. I think Kuche is china made, my initial impression that it's a "german" brand cos of the name. Ended up i bought Rinnai 2 burner gas hob (712N stainess steel) + hood (RH 382) at around SGD 500 including delivery. Rinnai is a good brand and i think the price is comparable with Kuche. If you ask me, best is to get a reputable brand.
