You know for that dispenser, if anyone is interested, can combine orders for it & save a bit on shipping cost that way.

The bathtub tiles look a little out of place with those HDB tiles like that but they're nice! That bath tub looks kinda small to suit adult size though.

I see PINK bedsheets! Where you buy those bedsheets? Im looking for those with pattern to brighten up a baby blue room.

Hmm interesting it sounds like your ceiling is low that can feel the heat from the downlights. But yes downlights do produce alot of heat when turned on all the time. Its very much like taking out fluorescent tube lights the moment you switch off the light. But PLC downlights won't give out so much heat as those spotlights even when you stand under it. Frankly, I agree with Junkay it is really impractical as you got to work out the cost per how many light bulbs needed to change whenever one goes out. (Not to mention it is tiring to keep changing) My family home has a number of downlights. Actually I lost count how many times did we change the light bulb cos when one goes out, a few days or a week later, another one will go out so end up buying more or extra light bulb for replacement. Its an endless cycle of changing especially if you have alot of downlights in your place.

Actually we never go to the curtain shop in JB at all. The lady boss came down to my place to do the measurement of the windows & even brought her material samples to choose from. This curtain lobang is recommended by someone. When you're sourcing for curtains, do make sure to do a comparison of the costs for the various materials quoted. For eg; if you're doing roller bind curtains, you may want to consider whether you want to get blackout material or non-blackout material. The difference in materials will have different pricing per psf for the roller bind curtains that why. For curtain recommendations in sg, I have no idea cos I already had a curtain lobang. For the curtain style, its a matter of preference in your case.

Heya nath.adrie, apologies for missing out this post 'cos haven't been keeping track of posts in RT lately. Hope I'm not too late in posting this reply. Glass windows not easy, newspaper would do but will have to wipe clean properly. But for glass tables, you can try a little bit of CIF and wipe it down on the glass followed by a damp cloth to wipe off completely. Mirrors in the bathroom on the other hand can be wiped with CIF & sprayed with water to wash off. For curtains, I got mine from JB. It is about 1k+ SGD (RM2.4k) You mean what to look out for when buying curtains?

Yep Stacey is expecting. That is what she told me via email. Her portfolio looks good though but cannot comment on her skills either. I chose my gowns 1-2 months before my PS though as got to try many gowns as possible (There are 8 changes for PS, so need to choose 8 gowns.) Took me over 1 or 2 hours to decide on the gowns alone.

Fifteenmay, not a problem so no worries. No need for Liren's charges as I already contacted her. Her charges is really expensive! She quoted me almost 1k in the end for both day & night. So I scouted around and looked for one through a friend's recommendation though. If you doing your PS in may, it is better you go down 1 month before May to choose the gowns. As for the MUAs you mentioned, Stacey chan is not available until after March 2009 as she is expecting a baby now. As for Jeannie Wong.. is she Jennis Wong or a different MUA?

Poor kitties. Congrats on your wedding. hehe. And pics of your place after reno?

Speaking of that, gumbokins.. There is this funny theory I picked up from somewhere else. During pregnancy, if you have a craving for expensive food, the baby has expensive taste. Similarly for inexpensive food. Think Mist's mum probably have some artistic talent that why. :notti:

You're welcome, thanks.

The aircon in question, it depends on what type of system for aircon is used & yes older models do use alot of power. Secondly, how many degrees do you set it at everyday? The colder the temperature, the aircon will have to generate MORE energy to cool the room. So it is better to set it at 25-26 deg approximately. It may not be so cold but it will keep the room cool & generate LESS energy to do so. Your electrical applicances on standby switches, they consume ALOT of electricity being plugged in with the 'On' button even if you did not start your appliances. There was an article in the papers some time ago on electricity usage and I think it mentioned that standby electrical switch can take up at least 3 days worth of electrical supply. Your cooking powered on electricity btw? Which would mean its either induction or vitroceramic hob you're using? There is another thing you might need to factor in. The room lights. Sometimes the lights you buy may not have energy saving bulbs as it does not fit in, so it uses other types of bulbs that require high-voltage. My living room & study room lights are high voltage. So I dun siwtch the lights on for so long as I usually use lamps with energy saving bulbs. -
Lol, hmm I guess that the job nature is similar to an auditor except its less taxing with the numbers.

You've got a PM!
-
Hongss, I pm you angel chua's charges. Your friend should have book a MUA early as 6months to a year early since popular MUAs are always booked in advance. Even Dana Chang got a customer on my AD & can only do my makeup earliest at 430am cos her customer's is at 6am. Quite rushed like this for her & it is too early for me to do my make up.

Hehe ya been very busy with my current job. Kinda tired, got one time had to work OT till midnight. About dogs, me and my hubby are also dog lovers too, our doggies pic in my t-blog btw. For my hubby's dog, summer. He came to stay with us for a short while but he would get very depressed staying here since we don't have alot of time for him due to work and other commitment. Previously he stay at my in law's place then that why so when he staying with us, he got epileptic fits and all that so we had no choice but to send him back to my in law's place to recuperate. In the end, he is more happy at my in law's place + he's recovering already.

Ya I know what you mean. In my case it is urgent since my AD coming soon & the person supposed to do makeup for me suddenly cannot do it at last min. So I had to contact almost every MUA I found on the net to see their availability & rates. Lucky I manage to book one though. SF, you and your wtb must have a budget & be comfortable with the choice of MUA too. Btw when is your AD?
-
Then let me know if it is good or not when you start using it?
-
SF, your home is the cluster one right? It looks more and more like a landed property from the pics esp the outside balcony with those overgrown weeds & the view outside.

I bought my shoe cabinet & sofa bed from Nova some months back ago. I already posted about it in the other thread regarding Nova. Strangely, my hubby & I didn't experience any pushy sales tactics or hardcore selling by the salesman who followed us around. In fact our experience at Nova had been pretty ok so far & pleasant. The salesguy even waived the transport charges. IMHO,their furniture are pretty much like those similar furniture pieces in neighbourhood furniture shops actually except that quality wise, it very much depends on the individual perception. To be fair in my view, their service was decent & nova called us up promptly a day before to confirm the delivery schedule. In fact we were worried that they may not deliver the furniture to us on time based on the reviews in the other nova thread. But they took the initiative to call us up & delivered it right on schedule. That is a plus point. However the shoe cabinet they delivered was not really in 'new' condition. There were marks on the top of the shoe cabinet, doors not aligned properly. While for sofa bed, it came in decent condition except for the bubble marks made by spraying on the silver frame underneath. The guys came back another day to fix the shoe cabinet though which is half a point for them as they didn't even change the shoe cabinet upon request when they delivered. All they ask us was to call nova about it. In the end, they just covered the marks with marker & realigned the cabinet doors. It is fortunate that the top of the cabinet came with frosted glass. The end result made me feel that the money paid for the shoe cabinet alone is not justified enough. The price for the sofa bed was basically standard in comparison.

There are alternatives. You can do some simple DIYing painting le, or alternatively get decals. But most important is that you and your hubby must feel comfortable with your choices.
-
Then must quickly upload pics when you can! hehehe

How is the dispenser serving you now?

Wah! I am so tempted to get this. How much is it actually?
