  1. ene, i was referring to those fan forced oven ie; convection oven...cos those ovens don't have microwave function and I believe that was the question that icegal is asking about this sharp model. Not the convectional ovens cos those are the ones that come with microwave function, paiseh.
  2. nice your kitchen Your contractor made the mistake le, is it in B/W that you asked for the countertop to be in white? if yes, then you better tell your contractor to rectify the mistake cos its the loss borne by him not you.
  3. Hi, not sure about the current market price for krnotex or supreme now as I got the expo price from supreme last year. I remember kronotex is really ex, they did quote us a cheaper price at 4.80 psf than the usual price for the AC4 type. It works out to be more than 6-8k to do the whole house flooring except kitchen and balcony. So we went to supreme as their price was lower. Around 4 to 4.20 psf back then if i remember right.
  4. Your mum cannot take sweet stuff. No MSG laden food too. Then, she can only take bland food that is not oily also. Think she needs to watch her diet & take care. 'Cos some food may have high sugar content without her knowing it.
  5. Your place looks big from your pics. quite nice also. For floor laminate, it depends which brand you want to go for? Got quite a no of them though
  6. Looks like you managed to squeeze in the dresser + wardrobe in your room. Frameless bed does save space considering that room size is not big to begin with. I like how the floor tiles look in straight lines in the living room based on your floor plan. Makes living area look bigger now that I can see it.
  7. Nvm, man of the house aka Brownmse have to learn to cope or else one day he cannot even cope with his future kids hurhur. :notti:
  8. Jessie, the HDB officer need to go for eye examination is it? But is i suspect that they do not want to do the repairs till they see the damage themselves personally is 'cos of the budget they're given. From what i heard, they're given like 5k per unit to do any rectification/repairs based on defect list. The cost to repair this defect must be higher? You know I got an idea but not sure if feasible? If you have a video cam, you can record the leakage, then send to MND, cc to MP ba.. together with the report by BCA & what your HDB officer stated in B/W just like what skywolf suggested to send to whom?
  9. Congrats on the birth of your baby! She's a cute baby,
  10. Not sure about the price range.. but have you tried sim siang choon at IMM? I think they might have porcelain sinks, somemore they got catalog book even for bathtub & jacuzzi.
  11. wah me envy cos i want a kitchen island but bo pian cos kitchen is a slim rectangular, doubt will have enough space for an island
  12. Is it due to the food being high in sugar or something? Sounds like a case of diabetes?
  13. WOW you got so many cove lightings. but like cantona7 say, you dun need so many cove lights for passageway... just 1 cove light can. My passageway dun have any light fixture as we decided not to fix it since our study room light already illuminate the passageway so bright. Then the living room has like 5 cove lights. The dining room light has 1 cove light but will also illuminate the living room area with little more visible light if switched on alone the way I see it. You can opt to do maybe 3- 4 cove lights for your living area? You know the ID might say the cove lights is impt cos of the design but any experienced electrician will tell you whether it will be sufficient to have 1 or 2 lights.
  14. Very nice the tatami bed. more pix!
  15. Im not sure about that but my dad says that Lbox or cove lights are kinda useless though in a way due to numerous 'replacement' bulbs to change whichever bulb. You remember bulbs no matter how energy saving, they still have limited life-span. My hubby thinks the same way too. We saved quite a bit by not having any Lbox or cove lights and less cleaning to do in a sense as those areas will accumulate dirt/dust with time. The thing is you may be spending quite a bit on replacement bulbs if you're having both cove & halogen lights. Since you will never know which bulb will go off after its lifespan is up or when its faulty. Why don't you check out the market price for the T5 first?
  16. Its ok apple, what happened to your mum? You should keep her company though. Family is important.
  17. metal strips might be nicer to go with the silver laminate. Better not waste more $$ when you can put the money to use for other things. Wah, so many clothes, must be a clotheshorse somemore.
  18. IMHO, the T5 light used for cove is already bright and yes cove lights are quite bright so ur ID is correct. My family home uses both cove and downlights but to replace bulbs for downlights is kinda troublesome also. There would be times when one bulb will go off and will have to be changed only to find another goes off again in a few months later. So you see already quite ma fan. Downlights is more softer and not too bright but if you're using alot of downlights, its as good as wasting electricity & more money burnt on buying replacement ight bulbs that is. Thats why my place don't have cove or downlights. Just the normal light fixtures. PS: ckoonyin, T5 & T8 are fluorescent bulbs that are long and thin which is common in offices that sort. T5 is brighter than T8 i think?
  19. Hahaha Babytan so kan chiong about bonnie. Ya its not easy to train a puppy from scratch all over again 'cos puppies are kinda adorable and will make one want to spoil them more. It takes some resolve and willpower to train properly with the correct way of giving out rewards and punishment.
  20. Wah Baby so energetic. I thought Mini Schnauzers aren't so hyper since they're kinda gentle and docile. Almost gives a genteel aura
  21. Well, if you do not want to use too many lights but prefer a single light on for some light reading in bed before turning in or when you need to go toilet in the middle of the night but lazy to turn on the room lights, it should serve that purpose. Thats what bedside table & wall lamps are used for. Halogen yellow lights burn out quite fast. I have like 6 halogen yellow light bulbs for my living room light. 3 of the halogen light bulbs went out after less than 5 months already. Left is remaining 3 halogen lights. Still, its really a matter of preference for you.
  22. Then you can look for maybe frosted/clear glass wall lamps for the sides of the wall ?
  23. Wow, your reno process by Ho Bee is going well and looks good too! This tatami sofa cum bed looks very nice, its a single size right?
  24. Seldom see frosted mirror seriously unless you want to go for frosted glass? But if you're particular about FS, I also not sure if mirror is a good idea to place at feature wall? 'cos im not sure if good or bad in terms of fs.
