There are different grade of plywood, different country of origin. U can get plywood with SPVC or DPVC, i.e one side or double sides in white pvc lamination or polygon finishing. For external laminating, high pressure/plastic laminates is use. U can get it / or order from hardware shop Kim Men at AMK PK 2A, xin huat at Yishun, seawalk at Ubi etc I suggest u get it from furniture factory buying those odd pcs.

Replace the rusty 'screw' to see whether it helps or not. Sometimes, the screw broke leaving the head intact on the hinges. Remove 1 pc as sample and best to get the stainless steel type about 20 cents a pc. If your main door is those double leaf door, the screw; actual is call machine screw is probably M6 x 12mm, no. 8 counter sunk head. It's not difficult. Just light sanding for the door using grade 80 sandpaper One tin 1 litre of Bordelac, dilute with a little of turpentine - (1 beer bottle is only $1.50, keep the rest for after job cleaning) Get a pc of good brittle brush of 1.5" for painting the unreach edges. paint all the edges in gentle touch which the roller is unable to reach. Use good 4" roller - $1.00 a pc, don't buy the 10pcs for $3.50. Dip the roller into the paint and roll onto the paint tray to get a light and even amount of paint then apply onto door without pressing much force on it. To re-paint door, one got to know what's the material of your door and what's the existing finishing. Older version of HDB main door is normally the single swing door with painting that it cannot be varnished. Current version is those double leaf swing doors in brown colour that is normally in varnish finishing. This can be re-varnish or to paint it with paint meant for metal or wood uses. Once the varnish finishing door is re-paint, it cannot be re-varnish. Varnishing means staining of wood like rosewood, teak, ashply etc with wood dye and finish with lacquer to give a harden & shinning finishing. To re-varnish existing varnish finishing door, just sand the door lightly and apply varnish of the same or darker tone finishing. Use the 1litre can varnish about $10/- for convenience. Wooden door can be solid wood like nytoh with varnish finishing, mdf ply in spraying finishing, normal timber in painting finishing or wood with laminate finishing etc. It is better that u post the door which u want to re-paint. One more thing is that if u buy paint like bordelac, ask the vendor what solvent to use. Over the shelf paint is normally slowing drying paint. U cannot mix turpentine base with thinner and quick dry paint is not suitable for use on wood. Hope my view is useful.

Yours is the white round plastic type? Call Kim Men at AMK ind pk 2A, 64813350 to check or ask for any alternative I would suggest u bring the door with the hinges attached to it, they may help u to get smiliar replacement. U need to align the other pc of bracket on the cabinet. Just loosen the screw of the bracket on the cabinet. BTW where's yours location, maybe can get u a nearest hardware shop

Stainless steel is a very hard material where u can't use normal cutter to cut it. It is not easy to bend it into the shape u want, u need to use flame. check with Hong Hock hware at Hamilton Rd, tel : 62943832, I think they have the 2mm dia that comes in 2m length. Grade 304 in bright finishing is good enough for use. u can polish it to BA or hairline. For 1.6mm dia, u can get those for use in argon welding, about 1m length and a few bucks a kg. check with Chang Tai Chiang at AMK ind pk 2. also avail. in 304 or 316 there is one type smiliar to stainless steel wire in dia 0.8mm or 1mm which comes in spool for welding purposes.

Replace with exactly the same type of hinge. Post your broken hinge with the door.

The plug without 's' hook is about $1.20 a pc but the tool is too expensive. U should try a few more shops. There are a few shops at Blk 20 or Blk 22 Woodlands link which carry wide varities of tools but the staff over there is not that helpful that they don't advise much on what to use or any other alternative. u can use alum. angle bar - 3mm thk x 25mm x 25mm x L40mm. Just drill 2 small holes on both surfaces - dia less than 4mm and use the phil head self drilling screw - about dia 4.5mm for tightening. don't buy countersunk head screw. Those steel or white colour plastic angle from the hardware shop is too thin and too small. not strong enough. I used 1mm thk s/s angle bar - it is strong enough.

I think I got the wrong picture not refering to the same item. The plug for the partition wall is maybe steel or nylon with the screw on it. When the whole plug is inserted into the hollow wall and when apply with the tool to pull it, a butterfly knot is formed. I bought the tool and the plugs from Podai Engrg quiet some yrs ago.

Gysum board is normally use as partition wall. The white nylon plug when mounted had a shape of butterfly smiliar to certain types of wall plug for concrete wall. After u inserted the plug with the screw on it into the wall, u need to use a special tool to pull the screw thus the nylon will have 'wing' blocking the hole of the wall. The application tool is smiliar to the one for riveting. it is about $15/- a pc.
