The move came after developer Hao Yuan Investment did not get approval from the authorities to sell units in the project, which was launched on Friday. The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) told The Straits Times yesterday that Hao Yuan had not been authorised to sell any of the units in the development located in Woodlands. "The developer of Forestville was given instructions from Controller of Housing (COH) on Dec28 not to proceed with sales for the EC project," said the URA spokesman. He did not elaborate on the reasons why Hao Yuan was not given approval. Despite COH's orders, Hao Yuan went ahead with the launch but issued a "no-sale" instruction to agents. Agents were told not to collect any cheques, and prospective buyers were told that no Option-to-Purchase would be granted, said the firm. Potential buyers could make only "expressions of interest" which Hao Yuan would honour. But some said that agents operated normally during the launch and continued to collect cheques for bookings made. Mr Vincent Ong, 39, had placed a cheque for a four-bedroom unit worth $910,000. "The developer's statement that no bookings of units were made contradicts the process I went through on Friday," he said. On Friday, people had placed an interest in about 150 units in Forestville. The latest incident comes in the wake of controversy over the high prices of EC units. On Saturday, a 4,349 sq ft penthouse at CityLife@Tampines was sold for $2.05 million, a record high for an EC unit. Forestville's 653 units are priced at an average of $710 per sq ft. Its biggest penthouse, with a floor area of 2,756 sq ft, has a price tag of $1.79 million. It is unusual for developers to proceed with launches without approval to sell, said analysts. Part of the reason is that developers want to build on the momentum and rising interest in ECs, said Chesterton Suntec International's research head, Mr Colin Tan. There were about 6,500 EC units in the pipeline as at Sept30 with an additional 3,100 that could potentially go onstream in the first half of next year. Said Mr Tan: "As a developer, you're not sure if market sentiment will last or not, so you will want to get some kind of commitment before interest is lost." ocheryl@sph.com.sg -

I told the ex-owner to keep for a mths after that I will change the letter box keys. But I only change it after I finish my reno. Which is 2-3 mths later. During these 2-3 mths, the ex-owner don't bother to come and collect their letters even their new house only across the street. After I change the letter box, I return all letter with " No such person" After 2 yrs , I still receive invoice from their server vendor. I google the company and email to every single email address I can find in their company URL And told them. STOP sending invoice to this address and the previous owner has no right to run his business under my home address. However, on and off, I still receive letter from PA , when the previous owner reset their singpass password.

I think depend the sleeper. Personally, I prefer the 1st mattress I bought at JB. Feel that it is better than the second mattress I bought. I had no idea what range or series is these 2. To me, mattress is mattress. I don't look at brand or series. As long as I can sleep on it. It don't give me backache. Its price tag will not kill me. It's good enough. -

I'm using Vono since 1999. First Vono bought at 1999 in JB, Malaysia .. can't remember the price Second Vono bought at 2006 for new house from neighbor furniture store. Think SGD400+. Now still using. This just nice for both of us. The mattress my spouse prefer . too hard for me. The mattress I prefer .. too soft for him. So.. get a middle one. He adjust a bit, I adjust a bit. -
old system. agent can represent both side. Mean.. he take commission from both side. If buyer has agent. Then the seller agent only can take commission from seller. Now, new system .. cannot

May be you can ask urself. Why u need to bundle package? Bundle package consist of HP, TV and BB. If TV Channel is least important to you. SCV or Mio TV - which one you prefer BB which one u prefer HP which one u prefer. -

I read from the newspaper some yrs back. There are no LAW or Black and WHITE say Dog and cat are not allow to travel in Taxi. BTW, I Google up , Google down.. can't find any government site say it can't. BUT They need to be place in their travel cage (I'm not too sure the correct name for this) Reason is 1. hygiene As the taxi , bus , MRT are public transport, don't forget Muslim can't touch their nose.. Hmm..I think.. My Muslim ex-colleague explain to me before. But I can't remember the detail. So long liao. To carry them in the travel cage is to minimize the chances and more sensitive/respect to other religion. 2. Some ppl had nose allergies 3. Cat like to scratch. Don't think any cat owner want their cat accidentally scratch the seat. Unless they think since they don't own the taxi, they don't bother. Taxi uncle will pay to the taxi company , not them. hack-care 4. Be more responsible for the next customer to take the taxi. Some of the thing, it don't have spell out B&W. Just be more social responsible to other religion , other group of ppl. U might be dog lover or cat lover BUT u can't expect other ppl love cat and dog like you do. I had a friend used to keep lizard as pet during her childhood. How???

1st. New launch EC basically is HDB. Only after 10 yrs then can treat as private property b'coz the first 10 yrs , u need to follow the HDB rule. 5 yrs HOP, after 5 yrs only can sell to Singaporean or PR. No foreigner. 2nd, as you had existing HDB. I assume the HDB unit is not fully pay. For 2nd property , new bank rule come in. - loan max is 35 yrs year - max age 65 yrs old - bank loan 60% for 2nd property, if the loan duration didn't over 65 yrs old - bank loan 40% for 2nd property, if the loan duration over 65 yrs old. This is what I understand. show room is always WOW. U need to understand what u buy is bare unit. If you want to reno until that show room WOW standard. what will be the reno cost?
