This does not seem to be very popular in Singapore but has anyone installed wallpaper and come to regret it? :P

Yes. For me I regretted it because I had wallpaper peeling off due to the moisture from the shared wall between the toilet and the master bedroom

10 years passed since my purchase of resale flat
We have our share of what-not and look out for in our next home.

what I would avoid;

1. Top&bottom bathroom track shower screen.

ditto to one of the former here, the bottom track accumulated loads of grime. if possible, have minimum moving parts in these areas.

2. Mosic at shower area.

good luck to scrubbing.

3. insufficient and didn't plan more storage

due to budget, currently leaving things cluttered.

4. Excel dampers/runners

IMHO poor quality. I had to change the dampers and runners due to breakdown.

Recommend to continue to do;

5. Buy higher quality products;

a. Grohe Facets and bath products

hear lots of complain about ikea users, 10 years on and m,y Grohe it is still chrome and shiny

b. WMF Cutlery

ditto about rust from ikea product, my WMF cutlery are still good. Would be continuing to use them even shift house.

6. Large size TV

10 years ago, 45" would consider large and my spouse complaint why get such a big 50" TV?  Now she complains it's small. Go big or go home LOL.

7. Digital Lock.

Love the convince that I do not need to lock (auto lock) and bring keys wherever I go.

8. Ceiling fans

Saves space and it has never dropped on me (somethings my friends always warn me about)

9. Covelights

Yes, there may be dust, but not that bad. I don't see accumulation of lizard or xiao qiang as speculated by the former here.

Hope my inputs would help.
