U have to paint the altar white.

or visit sin chiew to look at fibre glass altars that are mounted on wall type. U could find it in white as I saw some in their supplier's catelogue.

I don't pray wanah, just curious...some kakis also like you but got steps for different gods one. How come yours no need?

dunno. only got positioning and height. as in, main god must be in middle. and other gods cannot be placed higher than him.

Home & temple placement is diff.

If u r referring to the physical altar, the Buddhist versions r usually embellished with lotus motifs.

Folks,

Don't think too much detailed in alter. Choose a color that match your house surroundings will do.

Otherwise all FS comments start coming up and you will be confused for every single details. Or worst, many people said things differently until you confused.

Hi cozy dreams, did your ID show u the colour scheme for your house before renovation? Or did u agree to the colour scheme in the first place?

Do u have a photo of how your altar looks like? It might not be as bad as u think if it's just accents of black on white. Must see photo then can advise further.

And what type of deity r u going to place on your altar? If it's 神, not advisable.

This is my 3D design. Heard from old folks that all white or black means 喪事or 黑事 if you're a buddhist. I'm a buddhist and i pray Guan Yin (观音).

How about if i put all white? Is it acceptable if i pray Guan yin?
