Love In Em @ Jurong West

Recommended Posts

Hi our sink is 780x510x220 from the brand Carysil. It is a silgranite sink though made in India. However it works supremely well for us and cheaper than Blanco. We paid around $300-320 (can't remember exact price) and bought at Royal Fanco (tel: 6299 0453) - very, very good service!9564214584_eebb0d3199.jpg

Thanks Makanolgy for the contact! I will go check it out...ya I like the size like yours, just nice to fit my kitchen cabinet :)

Also to Makanology & Greglhc, thanks for the feedback,I think I will go with deep single sink better la. More spacious and don't compromise my table top space too.

Happy New Year Guys!!! May all proud home owners (include myself) be even prouder when your reno complete next year! For those who already completed Reno, may you enjoy your new home through this festive period :)

Hi,

I tried to take a few photos but could not cause the laminate to stand out.

image-117.jpg

A contrast between the green wall and the laminate wardrobe. I understand yours is Tiffany color and should look great too

image-92.jpg

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much MHB!

Haha ya I agree the wood grain of the laminate is hard to take photo, even a small sample I was pointing my camera for so long to capture it properly lolx

I guess it should look ok with my bathroom ya.

Add some texture and color to it

Though I am toying if I should change the solid top now. ID said is a bit porous but ok for bathroom. I wonder if I should choose a darkr color

I know there is a forum on DIY but I think I would rather keep my chat all in one place. So new year new stuff to post haha!

My hubby and I DIY this bird cage pendant lights for our stairs. I bought 4 bird cages (2big , 2small) so we sprayed painted two bird cages it in Tiffany color since I love that color so much. Tadah!

5C32841F-6B7B-46FF-8911-AC381DFD64D4_zps

Steps are simple, all you need is a bird cage (of course!), cardboard, a quick dry lacquer spray and a light bulb per cage.

1) Just make sure you spray it with the wind direction behind you

2) Spray it evenly at a short distance

3) Do one coat of paint and let it dry

4) Respray another coat

5) drill a hole at the top of the cage

6) fix up the light bulb. Viola!

I am undecided what to spray for the other two cages. Can only afford another colour otherwise too busy. Thinking if I should spray it chrome or pastel yellow (refer below). What do you guys think?

your underlay for your laminate flooring is foam. check whether you can ask them to use rubberized underlay instead.

Hi All,

We are thinking of using blinds instead of curtains. Anyone has any blinds supplier to recommend?

Thank you so much in advance!

So I asked my contractor who asked the supplier for laminate and his reply was :

"Fm supplier: if the floor is cement floor than use rubber. If with tiles flooring we use aluminum foil underlay...

tell them foam de is the most cheapo type use by china board. Use to wrap furniture de.

We use the Aluminum foil de is better than the 1mm foam underlay use by china board. I dont have that... lolz

Most important explain to them rubber de is needed more if floor very uneven.

But your jurong site ok floor swee swee..."

Lolx.... So I guess in summary we are using aluminum foil which suppose to be better than foam that seems to be ok for our good condition tiles :P
