Jiawen, the material is soft and similar to those fish net feel. Actual material term am not sure. Bunbun, most insect screen that are ready made doesnt come cheap. Even the m'sia ones also quite ex. As i will be doing my whole house with 8 sets of windows, its cheaper to DIY since i Love to DIY

My 2 cents worth. Magnetic strip types generally tend to peel off after a few years because have to pull the screen up and down. This happened for my parents' home, whole house have mosquito/insect screens with magnetic strips. I do not know how long have they had the screens but I think it has been quite a long while judging from the look of the screens. If it's 1 section window with 2-3 window panels then, it will be one big screen fit to the window frame and you will have to peel back the screen and close the screen back whenever opening/closing windows. It is quite a hassle mostly and after a while, the whole screen comes down on you because the magnetic strips no longer hold in place due to frequent peeling back/closing the screen. Have seen that there are sellers in malaysia selling sliding insect frames and folding insect screens with tracks or no tracks only so no idea whether singapore sells these as well. You may want to consider the alternatives as well.

Renovation proper has begun! This is how much was accomplished on the first day. The wall was hacked, and they will make good the wall the next day. The lights are almost done in the living room! The electrician will finish it up the next day too. The lighting and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom is up! =) I gotta say the efficiency of the electricians are really something. And their chemistry is good; each knows what they need to do to get the job done, without having to say much. More pics will come soon! =)

Have some time today and started painting an old ikea basket. It's time consuming though. The photo frame is much easier.

Hi friend, I find a "good day". After getting the key, do it and open all windows and close the house for 3 days......... Since I am a Buddhist and not very into following Fengshui, I just do whatever I know, for the peace of mind. At first I also don't know what to buy, but when you go to shop selling joss sticks, tell them you going to pray 4 corners, they will pack for you! )

A Good ID and responsible contractor has to be very pro-active, creative, knowledgeable, flexible, able to accommodate to client requirement, it is better to be good talker, able to sell its product, able to free-hand draw, able to handle 2D & 3D drawing, has to be good temperament, Punctual, Good Planner, On schedule. Lacked of any item above will not be able to survive in this line

Just received a PUB bill.. our first one! The feeling of not wanting to pay is creeping up on me. the bill is S$ 110! Of course.. S$100 is the deposit and S$10 is for the water and rubbish clearing. the reality of having a new responsibilities is finally sinking in. Was reading another T-blog and i realize something about the glass screen that is installed in the bathroom.. is it true that the toilets will be hard to clean because the water will be trapped between the kerb and the toilet bowl? anyone have any ideas how to get around it?

Happy New Year & Happy Valentines day everyone! we have finally complete celebrating the most wonderful season of each year, here our workers have came back & get really serious in work! Saw a cases where owner is a single mother and happened to get into serious trouble with the ID film, she shown me a few Quotation she had obtained from a few ID company and she was not seriously looking into the items cost, but she was attracted by the final sum which she claim that this is the lowest among the rest.... and you know what? She didn't knows that the Tiles purchase was not inside the Quotation, and Electrical price isn't there..... We are in the middle of discussion about taking over this Job, hope you guys could be more smart, don't be blind off by Package deal, (cause even Tiler Seng don't believed in Package!!) If you need advise before signing on the dot, you may email the Quotation to me, i'll help you to study & see if they are ok to go or what "don't worry, we are not asking you to pass over job to us" cause I'm just trying to be helpful that's all!

I am just kinda worry that Town Council will need to set up a committee, bring in some bird expert, study some bird ****ting pattern. Then after 6 months and spending 200k and realized the fault lies with the painter who painted the wall outside.
