Seen quite a few industrial homes, started with industrial look in mind but mostly ended up off-theme, other than having the brick wall and a metal clock, there was almost nothing industrial about those homes. But THIS home looks really promising, it brings the industrial look to a new level, love the bold ideas. Looking forward to see more progress here. Great stuffs!

As for Amcon, glass, mirror, stone, marble, else item that are easy broken you can request them to provide wooden frames. If you are intended to bring in furniture, I will suggest not to use sea shipment by weight it will cost a bomb you can do the sum before deciding.

To add on, Parquet requires regular maintenance every 3-5 years, light sanding and gap filling and revarnish..

Bro, you are spot on...simply love his works especially his patience with us. We spent 4 months to finalise our design with more than 30 iterations on the 3D drawings. Kelvin told us we broke his record. Are you one of his customer?

If you are only laying granite tiles, you may want to approach granite tile suppliers (so many of them, just flip a random Home&Decor magazine and you will see a few) directly. If granite flooring is part of many works that you are going to do, then it is best to park this under the ID contractor's scope.

Not wild at all. My TV has always been in the common room and not living room. Creates a cosier atmosphere and frees up the living room for human interaction without distractions. No TV in mbr too for similar reasons. Don't be afraid to execute your ideas if you really think they are feasible. Even if it doesn't turn out the way it should, at least you know after trying rather than wonder and regretting

Corridor Reno Nothing much we can do for the corridor so i just got those hanging cage lights. Where? TB of course. Bought some edison bulbs as well and will be using those for the house warming. As we didn't get the doors from HDB, we have to get our own doors. Shockingly, there is only that much designs to choose from and definitely none of them looks industrial. So customise again lor. At first wanted to make it like a door in a ship. The door with a round window in the middle with steel grills leh. Too bad not enough Vitamin M especially when there are 3 doors to do. So we thought of making it looked vintage (just paint and sand it down) for a change. Think i have too much industrial design in the living room so nice to keep it simple here. Still some element of industrial design. Check out the hinges. Probably will paint the handle black also.

Kitchen Island Reno Always wanted an kitchen island in my house which is why we have an open concept kitchen. Our intention is to use this island as a dining table (6 - 8 pax) as well hence it has to be quite long and wide. Will be using those high tolix bar stools. This is how the island looks. Used galvanised sheets to enhance the look. Will be adding rivets to the black trimming of the table to have that steel look. At the back of the island, i'm housing my wine fridge (just a small one). When it comes to the island lights, i like it to be big and something different of cos. Lights in SG is just crazy expensive. So like everyone, i got it from TB and it's love at first sight when i saw this light. During the installation, the zigzag cramp is not able to hold on to the weight of the light hence it becomes fully extended. I think it was meant to be this way. Who ask HDB build our ceiling so low! ****! In the end no choice got to cut away a big portion of the zigzag cramp. Much better now. Don't like the silver round base as it makes the light not integrated to the metal beam. But no choice the round base is actual the bracket of the zigzag cramp. Oh well... Cannot remove the round base so i requested to paint it black. All done and lights up!

Hi Apple, I'm a supplier of laminate flooring, and depending on what flooring solutions you need, price might differ. Just a basic idea: Parquet - Increase value, best feel, but water is troublesome Laminate - Good feel, water could be trouble unless you opt for our waterproof laminate (not vinyl) Vinyl - Tough, silent, waterproof Tile - Easy to maintain, waterproof, but its cold Cheers and have a nice day, Sheridan

No idea. But are you gonna DIY? I consulted the paint shops and most say it is not easy. The skills of the painter has to be there. Might not be able to get the kind of effect you THINK it should give. If you are doing it for 1 wall, why don't consider wallpaper instead? JMHO

Nowadays I am scared to visit relatives. Their common question will be, They: "Ah boy ah, when r you getting your keys?" Me: "HDB says March" :good: They: "Are you sure u bought a unit at Sunshine? That day I drive by and almost 1/3 of the flats are occupied you know? U wanna call HDB to check?" Me: "I know. I'm at the last block, facing inside. Those block you see are released last year and they are facing the road." They: "You sure, Maybe your unit got burst pipe or cracked wall? And they are repairing it right now so cant release to you" Me: "The whole block is not released, I will check thoroughly once I got the keys" :help: They: "I think u still better check with HDB when you getting the keys. How can they take so long?" Me: "eh HELLO! U think HDB your neighbour ah? Just drop by say hello when u free? U hurry me for wat? Who is staying there?" :furious: :bangwall: They:..............
