If u are looking for Electrician, Give this uncle a call (Got to know his number through a friend of mine) and His workmanship is good. Previously, i called him up and ask him to lay the SCV cable and extra power point for my mum hse. Before he starts laying the SCV cable he told me that he need to check the signal level of that house before laying, if the signal level is in the unacceptable range he won't lay. I'm Quite pleased with his professionalism in his work so therefore i would recommend him in renotalk. He mainly deal with larger project unless recommended by someone he knows. Tell him that Alan @ Upper Boon Keng Recommend one, he would know. Name: Mr Yong Tel: 9457-7400

Simei mum, There are one good thing abt laminate. I remember an occasion while my flat is still under renovation. I slip and fell on my back onto the floor laminate, while i'm halfway on the midair i thought this fall would definitely be painful. Surprisingly, when i actually fall onto the ground it's not painful at all. Maybe the laminate and the sponge below absorb all the shock from the fall. Kids like to run around the house and falling while playing. If fall on marble sure very painful one, parent heart more painful. If fall on laminate flooring, no bruise no blue black, parent heart not so painful ma. If you wanna install Pergo for lower price. Feel free to PM me for the contact.

There will be problem if u wanna sell it back to HDB. They will want u to pay fine or you find a electrician to redo the wiring that have trunking. If you wanna stay long term, then no question ask.

I thought it depend on your house layout. It is best to put at a position where guan ying can have a good view of your living room, especially the main door. The placing of the ornament on guan ying altar is also important too. Some put it according to five element way. I heard it from the FSM that helps my mum making the altar arrangement. something like that ba. Then fruits offering. Nowadays ppl cut short, just place guan ying on the altar and few plates of fruits. Guan Ying - Gold (Coz Golden body) joss stick urn - Earth (Coz ash mah) Zhuan Yun Bamboo - Wood Small glass of water - Water Oil Lamp - Fire

You got try SITOCA but I dun remember they have any drawer. But their table is very durable. I got my computer table from them. If you wanna get budget 2nd hand table, you could try 69 bendemeer rd (somewhere opp of boon keng mrt). A red color 1 storey building.

HDB ppl might have to dry the wall, then paint sealant layer over it. Probably use ICI dulux supreme 3 in 1 (wait long long ah)
-
dampness in the wall ah > could cause alot of future problem leh. - paint starts to bloat - paint starts to peel off - flaky wall might need hdb ppl to resolve this liao.

I'm using that series made in malaysia. so far so good. i step on supreme flooring b4, i still prefer the stepping feeling of pergo. I'm so far quite pleased with the service provide by pergo. During my reno, When the pergo ppl finish installing the laminated flooring, after a few day i saw some holes (made by fallen sharp object, probably the workers drop a screw drivers). I tell my ID and the next day pergo ppl came and change it without further question.

Maybe u can try pouring some bleach in the toilet bowl, everyday b4 goes to work. They won't be able to survive it while u can keep your toilet bowl clean.

Need To Apply Paint Sealant On Plastered Wall?
alan26 replied to becks150's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Yup, your contractor is right. When we talk about painting sealant, we normally talk abt ceiling (wet area). For example: If you look at the ceiling in your kitchen, toilets: If you found certain portion of the ceiling to be flaky or peeling off, it would be better to tell the contractor to scrap the existing paint and paint sealant. If the condition is good, it's all depend on u whether u want them to paint anot. Normally they won't paint it for u free. But there are still some contractor who is willing to do it for you. -
