  1. hcbing!!! NICE NICE NICE! I love the combi tiles you used in the toilet... and that HUGE cabinet you have in the hall... not only useful but very nice looking... and the way you placed the wardrobe in the MBR... all great ideas.
  2. Looks very reasonable to me!!! Welcome to RT
  3. Hello!!! thank you for your reply. No there's no Owner Z. But how is the amt calculated? I'm hoping to get a ballpark figure before going to HDB... Since they buy it under this scheme, they received a large subsidy right? cos they bought it for $30k only. So will the subsidy be taken back or need to be repaid? Also if the monies to pay the amt came from the CPF of the one who had passed on.. what happens now? Are the monies returned to his CPF? Sorry for bombarding so much. TIA
  4. diva79, yup stay put for the time being ba. prices are going up up up bf trying to get brand new flat.. see how.
  5. WAH all squeezed into one room... so xing ku! *BRAVE PPLE*!!! jia you!

  7. Welcome! Great layout for your flat.. toilet on the outside with a small recess at the door. Good buy!
  8. haha Will do! Definitely will start a new thread if I ever have the chance to reno again... *reno addict* It's really good to see you guys.
  9. Need some advice from you all.. The details are a bit skimpy cos the person who bought the flat has passed.. a decade ago when the other flat was gg to be revamped they were offered this flat (40 yr old) for just $30k under the enbloc scheme. They bought this flat and continue to stay in it. One of the buyers has passed on and now left the flat under the wife's name. Now they want to sell and upgrade... the flat can be sold for about $200k... what happens to the money? How is it subdivided then? Is there money left for them to upgrade to a bigger flat leh?
  10. Mickey M: !!! Nice to see you! haha not. But bf might be moving. Trying to sort out some things.. have to get advice from people here... hehe i go post a new topic in the right forum. josseeng: so nice to see people I know leh!!!

  12. Yup. Think I might have another journey to begin soon Thanks for the welcome!
  13. mm *Sidetrack* I just went to friend's housewarming and she had her own wallpaper.... they travel so she bought overseas and they got the goodrich people in to do it for them.. $50 for labour per roll. Maybe you can enquire if you want to cut costs but not sure how to do?
  14. congrats on the purchase! For the master bedroom... I do think Plan A looks nicer but Plan B's a lot more practical. I did think... well if you want to save some money and don't mind the squeeze.. For the MBR toilet, have a tempered glass door that swings outwards / slides with track on the outside (at the current location of the toilet door. Then make an L shaped 1m by 1m shower stall just next to the door and shift the sink to opposite the toilet bowl *staggered to the empty side*. Might look kinda odd and squeezy but will prolly save some money. As for the study and son's bedroom, I'll do this... Move the wall to make the kitchen smaller.. (cos I'll prefer a small kitchen and big hall, then having an odd hall and a big kitchen...) then partition the ultra big bedroom into two.. needn't be a wall partition.. can be made by anything like cabinets or dividers/bookshelf... So in other words.. I reckon I'll save on the thing in the MBR/store/toilet... to do this on the study/bedroom/kitchen... cos I'll end up with a bigger hall. <---- which can include a nice dining area. but that's just imo. a big hall is always impt to my family. haha
  15. heh cos I disappeared for a long time. reno was finished a year ago. How ulu can ulu be? mm TPY's good. very central location and has high resale value. now that I go to TPY often I appreciate its location a lot... just no money to buy haha
  16. sorry ah I kaypoh Label = important.. but be careful not to list the items on the boxes. When I was moving.. my mom listed some dry food items on some bags... and we never saw those bags again. Only realised they were missing days after. Cos move so many things very hard to keep track if things are not brought up to the unit also. So the second time we moved, mom only numbered the boxes and we had a list kept on us... so that the movers won't know what's inside.
