Yup Must see the bright side of things ya? Though it was bad luck but at least it wasn't worse. I think it's important to shop in twos at least... usually shopping alone leads to impulse buying.

mmM not sure if this experience helps. When I was at Casa Italy (the same outlet) the sales guy was a little pushy and used "that day only" tactic on me as well. My dad liked a wardrobe they had and asked if he could add some shelves inside and he said it will be an additional $200. Since we couldn't get what we really wanted, we didn't purchase from them.. mm

mmm I think fengshui should be customised for different people. it shouldn't be a one size fit all thing. If you believe in fengshui then we all have different characters so have to have things custom fitting us. Books are all general things ba. If you believe in your FSM then don't worry.

mmm Xiaobinbin... if you can manage the inside of your shoe cabinet better you might be able to store more. Don't go for standard heights between your shelves. eg. try to make 2 low height ones for your slippers and pumps, then medium height ones for low heels and your hubby's shoes and then 1 or 2 slightly higher ones for yourself. Like that you can squeeze more shelves to put your shoes. I didn't do that in my house and i ended up stacking the shoes. So silly of me. I intend to do that when I'm constructing the shoe cabinet in my recess area.

...... try S&C furniture.. but these bedroom sets.. usually the quality isn't very good. But they definitely have sets below $600.

well actually sometimes if you run around a lot and waste petrol/cab fare comparing prices you might spend more than you save eventually? I think what's impt is that you get what you like.
