I thought of that too. But you know.. we put some stuff outside recently and they went missing. My dad left his bicycle outside for a bit and the cushy seat I got for him went missing too. It really doesn't seem safe to leave things outside. As of now, I'm worrying about my mom's beloved plant. And we really want more space for the junk we have which is unsightly in the house and really dirties the house. Sigh. I'd have to agree though. If it's really ex and way out of my budget I'll hold off buying at the moment.

HUH why do you want to hack your marble flooring? Anything wrong with it? Can save some money by not hacking it.... what about overlaying with the tiles? if the marble is in good condition you can overlay. Need dimensions to help you with the cost. What is the size of your kitchen and the layout of your cabinets? How long? Top and bottom? tiling of walls or floor only? 2 toilets - when you say retiling is it overlaying it with new tiles or Hack off and retile? need to know size of intended partition panel and shoe cabinet. repainting should be between $1200-$1500 for 5 colours. Good if it can include repainting of everything + doors and pipes. Some contractors don't include.

mm We used to have parquet flooring, that was when sis and I were still teenagers and we had plenty of scratches. On top of that, there were times where rain came in and there was no one at home, then the parquet near the window was ruined... OH YES we also had termite problems after... 7-8 years of living there. The termites were feeding on the parquet near a box up area.

Grouting for dark walls are grey. Foyer with black tiles are black grout. Kitchen can have 2ft x 2ft floor but toilet cannot. But Ah Soon say if kitchen use big tile then better not wash. Semi-dry mop can. 2 light 2 dark lor.. haha Dad. Buy a little something for them.. saying hi is good for relationships!!

URGHHHH Her piano playing is the least of my concerns now. At least her piano playing sounds soothing to some extent. Now she starts a little earlier and ends her practice earlier. Starting about 7-8pm and she ends about 9 plus which we can accept... But I suspect my bedroom is directly below the young girl's... For some reason there are screeching noises throughout the night!! Like dragging things across the floor and her footsteps are like an elephant's!! I'm a light sleeper and keep waking up because of her!

Yup I got those. But my dad, who is rather fussy made them took a lot of the same tile out from the store, that's when we noticed that the ones they had in the store were slightly different from the mockup. But very slight only. (I hardly noticed, it was him) So liddat lor Toilet floor has to be 1foot by 1foot so that he can do the water flow thing. haha YA! the 2light 2 dark and 1 dark3light really got us too! My parents argued over it for DAYSSSSS

I was very tempted by this promo also!! Cos it looked so classic and it's from a good brand... But I had no choice ba no budget. Well i think black sofa is always a better investment in the long run...

ya. If you end up with someone you don't like you wouldn't have proper sleep every night. Honestly I would rather pay and sleep well... and most imptly BE HAPPY! I've actually read of stories of how bad reno jobs cause stress in marriages... so SCARY!! *touchwood* urgh So you're paying for peace of mind.

heh you're welcome. Yup it's mine. Thanks It does make the kitchen look bigger but then mine is already quite big. my cabinets are 19ft in length. Including the full height he considered it as 21ft. Enough for us after we throw all the useless trash la. So you really have to think about usage. Btw.. if I had extra cash I would have extended that box across the top and put a few lights shining down. hehehe

Wah gown fitting and WC hunting on the same day??! Pei fu you! I think my MBR toilet tiles are the same as yours le. The size is the same but the colour tone of the darker one is slightly different and it's a little rougher than the one on display. The dark 1ft tile is slightly lighter than the dark 2ftX1ft tile. but cannot really see the diff la. With the mosaic it looks ok. hehe thanks thanks. I'm looking forward to your house completing!!
