  1. Every aspect of your house looks perfect. Am totally in love with your renovation.
  2. wow. Have to admit I was a little skeptical when you first said you were going to lay the artificial turf. But looking at it, now that's been laid, it's beautiful.
  3. The person who delivered my dryer also advised placing one of those rubber car mats under the machine to prevent it from sliding off. My dryer sits on top of my washing machine and so far (touch wood) it hasn't fallen off.
  4. Yes you have a point dr Tan. And i know what u mean. And wouldn't we all love to be driving a Lexus Mercedes or Beemer. But some of us do have to settle for a cherry, and so long as it doesn't turn out to be a lemon then it can serve it's primary purpose. The alternative would be no car, (in this case doors). And that may not be an option for some.
  5. yes. the drawings look really nice. I like the colors your id has used and the flat looks really spacious. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the flooring for the living room. The grout lines look a bit too conspicuous.
  6. I agree. 40k sounds about right. Also depends on the kind of material you intend to use.
  7. Sadly yes. I paid 3.5k just for electrical rewiring. not even including cost of purchasing lights
  8. If you do a lot of heavy asian style cooking and deep frying then you may be better off with your traditional open flame hob. As for induction pots and frying pans etc. that's really not an issue. Once you've bought them they'll last you close to a lifetime i presume. If you're in doubt you can get a combination of an induction and traditional open flame hob. I'm using teka. used it for my previous home tool and it has served me well. i have a bias towards German kitchen appliances and I found Teka to be among the more affordable German brands
  9. I totally agree with you Mae29. Every company is going to gave it's share of good and bad employees. A safer bet would be to identify the good designers and/or project managers out there.
  10. what is 1800 calories roughly translated into dishes for 3 meals
  11. I included a clause that if Reno exceeds the handover date there would be a reduction in cost. But under the condition that i dont add any variations to the agreed works.
  12. You don't cook, you've only just learned how to boil rice and you haven't indicated that you intend to take cooking lessons, so it seems your kitchen's going to become a white elephant.....answer seems pretty clear.... go with whichever is cheapest. Don't buy an oven cos you'll probably never use it. get a microwave and a simple induction hob. Solid surface will be fine cos you probably wont do much work on the countertop and you'll be able to keep it looking as good as new for years to come. Dont waste your money on german products. As good as they are, you probably won't be able to appreciate them since yo dont do any cooking. Go with Japanese or Italian appliances instead. In short, local contractor/carpenter to do your kitchen. Watch out for the acrylic cabinet doors though. They'll scratch easily if you knock or run anything hard against it. I'd suggest you go with the Formica 2mm high gloss laminate instead. cheers and good luch
  13. Hmm it doesnt sound too bad from the clip you posted. Did the technicians assure you there was nothing wrong with the condensing unit?
  14. Thanks mrs kay. Thing is, I'm staying in the apt right now and hoping to have it done before cny. I'm also concerned about how messy it'll be to remove my existing wardrobe and add a new one.
  15. Thanks. just one more thing. If i'm already living in the apt is it lgoing to be very messy to remove the existing wardrobe and replace it with the new one.
  16. I was just wondering how long it takes for them to install the wardrobe from the time you place your order.
