becos that guy stays in the east all these while and he doesn't even know how to go Holland V by bus 1 hour ride from Jurong to Bt Timah?? Even bus 157 doesn't take so long.... that's not crazy... i did that too, and i know a lot of pple that do the same i also checked out the neighbours, and recorded down walking time from flat to important places (e.g. market, MRT etc). hahaha ya i would have thought Serangoon North is very far -
Different Color For New And Old Marble Tiles
marshmallow replied to xue's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
marbles are natural stone, so different batches sure have different colours... your contractor can only find the closest match possible but it will never be the same. are the new vs old in the same room? if it's different room, not so bad... -
hi bro, plastering and glass are both expensive items... frankly, if you cook a lot, it's harder to clean/maintain if kitchen is without wall tiles - something you gotta be mentally prepared of. how about buying ready-made cabinets for room instead of custom-made? this can save quite a lot of $$ too. study table can just buy from ikea.

hahahaha froggy you're so cute!! hmmm is skewer a must? i think i'm too kiasu... i have 7 power points along the worktop......

yo bro, i'm at those HDB facing Chinese Garden... at the edge of Jurong East liao. where are you? my side got one extra MSCP on top of the existing open CP well on the positive side, having open CP makes the blocks a bit further apart from each other lor~ actually concept of ulu is quite relative... my fren staying in Tampines found Holland V very ulu, while another fren staying in Clementi found Katong very ulu.... hahaha haha i can see your block from my home my fren just sold his EM at Blk 33x series... on the other side of Lakeside MRT i still find journey from Jurong to town very long.... i used to stay near Bukit Panjang and can get to town by bus much faster than now~ -
hey guys/gals, if you all are really interested, shall we create a new thread for the group buy? paiseh to hijack dexufto thread here~ but someone gotta help with the paypal payment... i dun have paypal account and don't intend to have one or, if someone is driving down to buy, maybe can kindly help us get too? then we get from one single collection point

hey hey rondy! you are the crowned baking king in RT, you must help to keep it up too~
-
when i started coming to RT, this thread was still alive... LOL was checking Phoon Huat website... they used to have an outlet in Jurong East with demo class... why oh why of all the branches they must close this one............ now nearest one is.... Clementi~ That so sweet of you!! built-in oven as a surprise for her! wow!! hee you asked the same question as me too... maybe i should copy the list in froggy's t-blog here i have edited a little based on my own research, all baking gurus please feel free to correct me! Must have: Spatular - wooden & silicone Mixing bowl Measuring cup Measuring spoon Sieve Baking tins Baking paper Kitchen weighing scale Hand whisk Mittens - for obvious safety reason Cake round pan (ranging from 6" to 9"? correct?) Electrical hand mixer (i'm still going thru some internal debate on whether this is absolutely necessary. i do know pple who bake but don't own any form of electrical tools at all) Really good to have: Electrical mixer Oven thermometer Wire racks Muffin tins

dexufto used 3M mounting tape i think oh if you drive then ok la... that place is really quite ulu
-
do you think a few of us can group and buy together? then can hit $200 more easily
-
my contractor quoted me $780 for 2 glass shower screens (= $390 for 1). i guess you can try to bargain further..... but can't comment on the quality cos eventually didn't install due to space/layout issues
-
Sengkang can fetch $600 for common room?? my fren renting common room in Kallang (those new flats next to Kallang MRT) only $550 per month~ if 2 pple staying in the same room, usually the rental per room will be slightly higher than single person staying. Say, $700 for one room with 2 pple vs $600 for same room with 1 person.

that's a lot of tools, and i dun have any of the items you mentioned... that's why i need to get many tools lor~ 99% of time i do Chinese cooking, so i only have things like wok, chopsticks..............

Wat Are The Furnishings Required To Rent Out Room?
marshmallow replied to jeffcraze's topic in Rent/Sell Properties
tenant(s) may not want to use the aircon mah... i think those bedroom set like what you mentioned will be good enough... no frills one will do mattress, you should provide though it doesn't mean that your tenant will use.... my hubby ended up getting his own mattress cos his landlord one was in really bad condition....... -
