  1. For those who are interested, Taka sale is selling the 4.5l Tiger Magic cooker at only 199 plus a free 2l Endo cooker. Additional 10% for Taka card members! This is better than the Isetan sale manz!
  2. Oh.... I can attest to that. I think we all have the freedom to choose our reactions to other's actions. Choose wisely and chances are our marriages will be a joyful one, though not nec smooth all the way
  3. Yes if you don't have the extra cash which can be used on other stuff like electronics/ furnishing and No if you have the cash and you're going to visit the toilets everyday for at least 10 more years... that's 10 x 365 = 3650 days of "WHY I DIDN'T DO IT?!?!"
  4. *Furiously nodding my head* How come no such emoticons?

  9. So true... the way I see it, the value that a stay-home mum invests in the children is of greater consequence compared to the amt of $$$ she can earn by working full-time outside, even though the income may allow the family to breathe easier. End of day, it boils down to the individual which is more impt, the desired lifestyle or your children.
  10. At least they don't have hidden additional cost for fresh floral arrangements, nicer table clothes etc. =) I find their package quite reasonable really and the food is good.
  11. Think having an island is very nice, but the kitchen must be big enough to accommodate. There was a tv show that showed a very nice kitchen with hidden hob, cabinet, washing machine etc inside fake walls along the side. If you shift the sinks to island, then you need to make sure your waterproofing of floor must be very good, otherwise if it leaks into ceiling of your neighbour, it'll be a nightmare to resolve coz it'll only happen after reno. So if you eat into study room, then make sure you do your waterproofing foolproof
  12. I've been surfing the banks website for car loan interest rates and they look all the same. Only difference seems to be the early repayment penalty. Does anybody has any advise? Also, is it possible to refinance car loans? Usually how much would that save us?
  13. The website to register through SingPass keeps spinning and showing error...
  14. =) sounds like I got new places to search! Thanks everyone! Robinson sale is coming up again also!
  15. Conduction cut off by vacumn in between the two walls of the thermal pot, convention reduced by enclosed area, radiation of heat is redirected back to inner pot (that is boiling) through reflective surface of the interior of the outer pot. I think pri school also teach the applications of understanding how heat dissipates. My colleague recommends Tiger, he said he tried other cheaper brand but doesn't work as well. The thing is I don't see it in Courts or Best Denki...
  16. it is not to keep the soup hot like thermal flask... it is used to cook the food inside....
  17. Ta-da, something like this: http://vshopusa.vpost.com.sg/aom/shop.php?...al_Magic_Cooker
  18. Anybody has recommendation on which brand to buy? Those that you boil your food, throw into the pot, no need to run on electricity but food will continue to cook throughout the day? Want to get one so can make yummy soup
  19. Hmm.. so they lying loh... the GC salesman I talked to say they only hire Chinese...
