  1. Congrats! It looks almost like a perfect square..supposed to be good for fengshui - no missing corners. !! Is it a corner unit 'cos you have a hallway cum balcony?
  2. Interesting kitchen, so many colours! Did the contractor cut the chimney hood for you to fit the beam? !!
  3. So fun to live and kapoh around in Jurong West where there are so many reno. and ex-reno. within a stone's throw. Heheh...good for you, looks like your ID is doing his job. Is your laminate glossy white? Look very shiny in the pictures. Heheh, like your light and bright coloured kitchen! Adds some variety in renotalk...'else all the reno. pictures are orh orh! !!
  4. Yah, if you clink on the picture, you can see that the wavy lines on the tiles are very nicely aligned in the close-up. !! Think the contractor and his workers have put in effort in their work and the effort shows. I'm really pleased and relieved that my trust is not misplaced 'cos I can't go down so often to check. Bought the stainless steel rubbish chute ($95 from Poh Joo) and an anti-cockcroach valve for the floor traps - 2 types: $3 Snow one from Poh Joo and $1.58 Norika one from a pipe supplier at Kitchener road, near the mutton stall - yesterday. Forgot to take pictures . Does anyone know where I can buy the window catch from? I have a quote from a contractor from the HDB website who quoted me $5 per piece. But, I was wondering if I can get them cheaper from a supplier.
  5. Reno. progressing smoothly... Am so pleased... Here's the kitchen with the walls up, white wall tiles up and grouting being done. Kitchen toilet tiles up, all very nicely aligned. Here's the children's bathroom with a close up of the fish tiles. It's a little dark between the tiles 'cos the grouting's not done yet. But, I'm very pleased that the fishes are well aligned.
  6. Yah, it's supposed to be frightening to see your reflection at night..see something moving...get a shock ...then realised oh, it's you youself.
  7. Your kitchen floor tiles seem big; 60cm by 60cm?

  9. Heheh...the ants look quite big.
  10. Heheh...I know exactly how you feel Sometimes, it's frustrating when you hit a road block...other times, when you've untied the knot, it's really exhilarating! My design's at my t-blog...Good luck.
  11. Showed my son and he wanted one too...but sorry, mummy doesn't quite like insects Heheh. So you feed them scraps from the table?
  12. Heheh...your women prefer smaller space, huh? My little men prefer big spaces to run around to expensed off their excess energy. Heng, we managed to find one within our budget! Heheh. Thanks for your well-wishes.
