me = a mech clock lover also. for good chimes, only old german ones. china made their chimes sound more like ...dunno how to describe...not nice. you ought to go to that LIM TUA TOW road shop.

I think i saw something similiar at LIM TUA TOW road. the oldest antique clock shop in singapore. but no cheap. german made mech clock nowadays not easy to find. use the street directory, it's somewhere near serangoon.

sometimes just follow some simple guidelines when there are one too many "ways/solutions". 1) dirty shoes should not be placed at the entrance of your house. Entrance is for Qi to enter. 2) if possible, buy those cheap $2 rugs and place outside your house. when returning home, stamp/brush your shoes's bottom(outsole) b4 bringing them in. 3) always clean your shoes. especially the outsole(bottom). 4) buy shoe cabinets that allows the shoes to be place pointing upwards. placement of shoe cabinet is subjective to one's house(layout), just dont place it at your entrance blocking part of the walkway.

nowadays new rosewood furnitures....i went to knock knock all sound "hollow"...unlike b4 those kind of solid wood sound. some shops's ebony furniture also not up to standard(dunno whether it's real ebony or not). ebony is supposed to be the heaviest wood around with a high density. yet some furniture sound a little "hollow"
