  1. Is that an Amazon speaker (Echo?) or Google wifi on your MBR desk?
  2. Thank you very much KS. Will go to the hardware store to hunt for this.
  3. Hi KS, to me, you are very good in DIY stuff. May I ask you what would you do/use to effectively polish surfaces (e.g. shower bar, bathroom accessories such as towel hook etc.) that have lost its shine over time? Thank you so much in advance!
  4. Thank you KS for the Mi Robot unboxing. Product looks nice! So well packed! Would be very interested to hear your review after using the product. I was told that Ecovacs is also another popular brand in China?
  5. Hi Nana, can you PM me Dome's contact? Have intention of buying a new TV soon. Trustworthy installer very important to me. May I know what other jobs can Dome do (e.g. locksmith)? Thanks for your help in advance! :-)
  6. Very nice TB hoots ... *LIKE* ... You really know how to "hunt" for good stuffs (even wall tiles)!
  7. Wow! Huge 5A! May I know where is your area? Thanks.
  8. Hi, Would like to check with everyone here if you have/had ever shipped a big bulky item from USA to SIN via SEA (not AIR) freight. If yes, what is the experience like? Which forwarder company did you use? Many thanks to feedback if any. :-)
  9. Hi bro Kim, I cannot remember reading this in your blog ... may I ask if you had bought or had considered buying a home theatre (HD) projector for your home use? If yes, any brands to recommend? Thanks.
  10. Hi kimsim, may I know where in JB did you buy the Nippon Momento Paints? It is definitely cheaper than in Singapore (about the same price but in SGD). :-( I am sure the shop in JB also sell other Nippon Paint (normal) product lines? Thanks to advise.
  11. Hi Ocean11, Thanks for sharing the TB & TM payment and shipping procedure. May I ask if we are to use Amcon, we have to fulfill minimum 1CBM? The "danger" of this is that we have to "force" ourselves to consolidate and buy many things (some things which may not be needed, which could turn into white elephants later on?). I think Amcon is good during reno stage? In the case of small items (e.g. post reno stage or just casual online shopping that cannot reach 1CBM), which agent/forwarder would you likely to use or recommend? Thanks.
  12. Hi Vic, back to the LG Roboking ... do you need to pay the 7% GST upon receipt of the delivery? Read one of the reviews in Qoo10 as follows: Tax invoice from FedEx was send to me Was indicating free delivery, but a tax invoice was send to my place. Very disappointed with this purchase, GST was not included in the price, thus need to add 7% GST plus $10 advance fee to the item before purchase. My worse purchase online experience. But I do not see majority of the Qoo10 buyers complaining having to pay the tax invoice. So it is like a "random taxing" thing? Thanks to confirm!
  13. Hi Marcel, may you share where is this "reno heaven" in BKK? I remembered I went to a similar Home Depot style mega store in BKK (near one of the MRT stations) but I cannot remember the name already. Thanks!
  14. Hi Vic, would like to check with you - the LG Roboking that you bought from Qoo10, is the model VR-6360LVM or VR-6270LVM? Many thanks for the review btw ... jin poisonous leh!
  15. Hi Sharon, You mentioned that you "did the metal gate for $545 with interlock. Metal gate is about this pricing. But Yale Locks having a promotion, something like 799 for metal and wooden gate. Could check out with Andry at 97399066 to find out about the promotion.". The $545 - does it include the digital lock or just installation of the digital lock? Also, must say you are very "good and daring" to install the digital lock on the wooden door yourself. Thanks for the sharing and advice!
  16. Me too! I always quickly scan the forum titles and read as "scandalised" concept ... later then realised the mistake.
  17. Hi Soloqueen, I am (or more correctly now my parents are) @ Blk 65. We are just opposite of each other! As for food, when I stayed with my parents, always had the privilege to enjoy home cooked food. Don't eat much around vicinity. Haha! Yes, heard the wan ton noodle at the market very popular. The coffee shop below my block does have quite nice food esp. lunch time (e.g. the hainanese curry rice, wan ton noodle soup, western food). Or course, there is the Redhill, Bukit Merah Central, Henderson, Alexandra Village, Telok Blangah Crescent, Seah Im, ABC, Tiong Bahru, Pasir Panjang food centres, Bukit Purmei lor mer etc. nearby.
  18. Mmm .. TB Drive brought back fond memories. Nice choice! Haha! Stayed there (3NG as well) since P3 till I move out to stay on my own (wah about 30 years). Still do go back to TB every Sunday though. You must be at Block 5X, 6X or 7X - either one of those? All the best for your reno!
  19. Wow! Suddenly this has become a Sonos club. Haha! Hi oldskool, my 0.00002 cents (don't flame me if I am wrong hah). As long as a Sonos component (in this case your Playbar) is connected to the router, it acts like a bridge and the Play 3 can then be moved to the rear (for surround sound effect). The Playbar and Play 3 can be paired and made to "talk" to each other (wirelessly) by setting up and controlling the Sonos app. From Sonos forum: Question: I have just purchased a Sonos Playbar which I love, I want to turn the Playbar into a 5.1 system, so what else do I need to buy, at present my Playbar is connected to my wifi router, any help would be great, the thing I am most confused about is the Bridge, do I actually need it to connect the SUB to and to connect the Play3 speakers, thanks in advance, Mark. Answer: A minimum of one Sonos unit must be wired. Since your Playbar is wired you don't need a Bridge. As for making a 5.1 system, you'd want a SUB and a pair of Play:3s. The Playbar will talk directly to its satellites wirelessly. HTH. Cheers!
  20. Thanks sleepybeauty for the feedback. Yeah, the SUB is pricy but certainly good to have! Thanks oldskool for sharing initial review. FYI - When I bought my Play 5 from Amazon, it came with the free bridge. I bio very long (waited for promotion, did price homework as Sonos are not cheap) before taking the plunge. Haha. Cheers!
  21. Hi oldskool, the Playbar sounds OK without the SONOS SUB (esp. for movies)? I also interested to know where to get the Playbar under 1K leh. Hehe. I bought my Play 5 late last year via Amazon (need to go via forwarder). Confirm - It's dual voltage (no need transformer).
  22. Nice green scenary. Looks like Lower Seletar Reservoir? Your place in Orchid Park Condo?
  23. Hi Bros & Sis, Would like to ask if it is a "risk" to buy bathroom or kitchen faucets from Amazon (or USA in general) due to pipe/thread connection issues? Product description taken from Amazon: Designed for use with standard U.S. plumbing connections All hardware needed for mounting is included with faucet Includes metal pop-up drain assembly In the event that one buys from USA (through ignorance or special liking - "die die must have", how is the problem normally solved? Appreciate your kind advice and comments. Many thanks!
