Hobbles..u refering the reno permit? Should not be a problem if u have the reason for it.. What happen is not within your control leh...call your TO or get your ID to talk to them...

Hi Homeowner... really got no choice but to plaster as the wall, ceiling in its original states really CMI.. 30+ yrs already.. Will cost between $1.5 to $2K depending on the areas involved..mine abt $1.7K.. heartpain but got to do... Ivory, Against HDB regulation???? Not sure got such ruling leh... My ID proposed building the seat as we have a depression in the shower area..sound like a good idea and so we proceed..Happy with it..Hopefully can take my weight as it is suspended...

Air.. the spary painting really make a difference.. looking so much better.. but have to take care..ok... I did the same for my previous place toilet..no problem for the 1st 2 years..make sure no hard scrubbing but still a small piece, about 50 cts coin size peel off.. have to get the contractor back to touch up.. important to note is that once it happen, make sure no further contact with water until touch up..if not, will peel further.. but really worth it to get the colour and tone that you like.. i feel the same way too when i did mine.. enjoy..

Hopefully not too bad..one or 2 can still live with.. Lizard eat insects.. In my current MBR, I have a resident Lizard living near the aircon and it will peek at me from time to time..i don't see insects or got bitten by mosqito leh...

Ok Reno update time.. All electrical work done. All False ceiling, light box, cove lighting etc done. Rectrification to washing machine and fridge base done. Schedule abit behind as painting only started on Sat and will complete by Tue. Air-Con will also be imstall on Tuesday..Some pictures to follow thru: Putting up the false ceiling/light box Final product - Light Box and Island Cove lighting for Living Room Light Box, Cove Lighting for Dining False ceiling for passage way to bedrooms False Ceiling and Cove Lighting for MBR - will have 2 wardrobe facing each other Girl 1 Rm - False Ceiling, Cove Lighting and Lightbox Girl 2 Rm - False Ceiling. Cove Lighting and Lightbox The seat in the shower area.. The water pipes will be painted and hopefully will not be so "OUTSTANDING).. Thinking of boxing it up but may have some HDB restriction...

Oh u went down to my place.. very small right? I think very messy then as they have not clear the rubbish.. Now electrical and false ceiling, light box, clove lighting already done and painting next.. next time u come down after carpentry will be better... I like the red rose tiles but not the ugly pipes.. White kitchen cabinets selected by wife so she do the cleaniing. . but need the light colour as kitchen very small also.. if fact, all my carpentry will be in glossy white liminate.. For the Back Splash, can be in any colours.. they will spray paint it according to your choice.. Post more photo on your progress...

Hi Apple..undersand how you feel.. sometime when doing reno, very difficult to keep to an initial estimate expecially when u realise that there are some work that cannot be avioded.. only thing is to control needs and want .. haha easiler said than done.. But must make sure that all required wet work are done and then in the future when got more funds then can add on the wants.. My initial budget of $30K also busted long time ago..now more like to be at least 2.5 times after adding in the furnishing... bleeding but worth every cents to have a nice home for the family.. Hopefuuly can strike 4D, Toto, Big Sweep.. Hahahaha..

Your kitchen and mine same black & white concept except in reverse.. mine with white cabinets, black floor tiles and grey wall tiles.. I have change the glass black backsplash for my kitchen to Orange to add some colours.. All the best in your reno..When u starting work?

I have checked out the recommended retailers in the forum as well as my regular outlet.. found the price about the same and so got it from Lucky Store at Transit Road.. I usually get my electrical/electronic stuff from them.. same warrenty/promotion offered by the main agent.. got a nice surprise the other day when I went to pay for the purchased.. The Boss chased after me after payment and told me that samsung having promotion now and I will get a $50 voucher..small amount but it is the service that counts.. really happy with them.. Hi Bubblepearl,, mine is 13w x 2. Got it at $35 each. I think on the high side.. C-stardale lobang better: "shop along veerasamy road blk 637 by the shop name new tai wah or something like tat ...the lights there at supplier price one ..bought my 5inch(something like tat) square plc lights inclusive of transformer and bulbs at $22 when Ch*n H*at selling at $37! " Wow at $22 per piece! I got it at $35.. Just have to pay the price for limited time and energy.. Tks for the lead... Wow.. really good deal.. I only save about $150 for both washer and fridge..

Hey Ken, does the surrond speaker comes with wall stand for mounting? Can't really see from picture..If not, uwill need to find the bracket to mount the speaker to the wall.. have fun ..
