  1. Another oddity of an old flat I think is the gas piping running through the middle of the flat, really ugly. I wont be using gas for anything so this will be boxed up
  2. More pics The toilet and shower. The wall in between will be hacked and all the drainage piping etc box up.
  3. Finally hacking will start in 3 days time, though the flat on 1st glance seem to be in reasonable condition, you can even say move in condition if you are not too fussy, everything will go. Initially I had wanted to keep the kitchen as it seem a waste to hack it down but on closer inspection, cannot make it lah , so what the heck might as well everything new. So here are some pictures before the hacking begins. view from front door toward living view foyer toward kitchen entrance kitchen Flooring will be using super white nano crystallized glass tiles through out except bedrooms

  5. quality cable for high speed fiber internet
  6. Very nice..haha all the pipes gone. My toilet reno ...going to do the same...I dont like all the pipes running and curving overhead in the toilet/shower
  7. Songz...water filter will also get rid most of the chlorine (smell) and also other particulates, this is even more important in old resale flat. Claypot...nice system you have there. But I have a dog, he will wreck havoc there. So I am only considering to install the simpler type where you just attach to the faucet, now I have to source for a sink that come with simple faucet not those fancy ones, else wont fit. There quite few vendors, like Hyflux, Philips, Osim (oem) and I think I will go with cleansui.
  8. Looks okay to me but I no expert. Yeah can see your aircon cooling fin slightly bended maybe due to installer carelessness but only small part should not affect the performance. If you do a google search, over time the fins will bend, they even have a fin comb to straighten the fin. But my experience is for normal usage, by the time that happens more likely you would have change to a new system already. Btw what brand are you using? I am deciding between panasonic and mitsubishi elec. My current place using panasonic quite okay, very cool and has e-ion, dont think ME has that but my installer pushing for ME.

  10. Hi Greg, Your bathroom and kitchen are really nicely done. Can I know what brand toilet bowl you are using? I intend to do a wall mount toilet too. I just wonder about the brands as the prices varies a lot. I am thinking of using roca.
  11. Nice....I like the balcony and the open view. Let me guess...Spottiwood residences? Currently I am staying at a studio, so space management is vital. Since space is limited, I just have to learn not to hoard things. Congrats on your new pad.
  12. Hi Jerome, I am looking for fridge with auto ice-maker and any that come with ice dispenser as well? Can you give quote and models thank you
  13. Nice Transformation. Btw how many sqm is the flat? Looks spacious.
  14. Very nice layout and bold reno, I like your bathroom really look cozy. Yes the bench is nice, I have one too but instead of sitting height, is stool height.
  15. Update...just sold....all in all took 2 months, 7 weeks to be exact. Perhaps is because my place is at TB only 5 mins from mrt. Buyer is PR family. But I can tell you guys...the market is really cooling down....the 3 year wait for PR really reduce the pool of buyer. With many BTOs being launch, locals have a choice now if they can wait. No madness, buyer trying to outbid one another. But I managed to sell at reasonable price, thanks to high valuation, rather than high COV.
  16. You have the wrong info. For the benefit of people buying a resale before selling their HDB, I have enquire directly from HDB. You have 6 months to sell your HDB from the time of the completion of the 2nd appointment (legal completion) of buying. Meaning if you start trying to sell after buying, you might have a theoretical 8-9 months. Also you can appeal to HDB if you fail to sell in the six months time period, of course I guess must have good reason.
  17. I just bought a washer/dryer from zero recently. Price is good, no delivery charge, disposed old machine at no cost, delivery time arranged fast. He respond to sms very fast. As for the stuff you are buying, the warranty is covered by the manufacturer same as from electronic stores...the only thing is pay by cash. Anyway...this is just my experience....just to share.
  18. My friend is selling his 3rm HDB at Tiong Baru. 5 mins walk mrt and TB plaza. The area has full amenities, shops, ntuc supermart, wet market etc. Is high flr unit, nth-sth facing. Interested pm.
  19. Nice reno, looks very comfy. Where is the location?
  20. I have already submitted the OTP for the puchase of a resale HDB. I understand I have 6 months to sell off my current HDB flat. If any of you have sold off your HDB, can share how long it took? Can include HDB type and location details? Also what if I am unable to sell off in the 6 months period? What will happen?
  21. Beo Crescent at Tiong Bahru...has units that have same layout
