hi CRUCIFER, take note that if u buy a resale flat, reno cost is higher if u buy a new flat, reno cost is lower leh.. i still think that overall, if got chance to buy new flat, its always better than resale Some people want to buy new flat also cant get a good number

Heard that some case even worse, they on the tap with water flowing but when off the tap, the water still flow. call town council on last Wed. Town council said they will ask hdb contractor to call me. Wait till sat morning still no call. I cant wait anymore, so i called for my own plumber instead. Bought new taps and installed the new tap. Now everything is working fine but cost me nearly $80 for the new tap with installation. The contractor who build our hse is "China Construction". booo gave us all the lousy material. Service is poor also

anyone can tell me more abt the market rate of baby sitter? say $500 per mth, the baby sitter look after your baby for how many days per week? / and how many hrs per day? so if $500 per mth, this includes the milk powder etc for the baby? or do we have to provide the necessary powder or food for the baby?

eh..i have totally different view i chosed granite too, but realised that i always need to wipe away the water on the granite top. If i dont wipe away there will be water stain. (Water stain is not a permanent stain, it can be wiped off so not to worry). Its just that the maintenance is more troublesome than solid surface top. Agree that granite is less prompt to scratches if given a choice, i will chose solid surface top next time. The price is cheaper also. So its quite value for $ actually

had my dim sum at dragon gate harbourfront. quite reasonable price for a dim sum @ $21.50 (after gst and service charge) not the best dim sum but for the price and quantity, its still recommended. They short of 1 speciality dish. --> Zhu chang fen. If they have this dish will be nice will try other recommended dim sum next time

ya furnishing.. cos for me, when i go shop for furniture, i will tend to buy things impulsively. Me and my wife is the "love at first sight" person. When we love a particular piece of furniture, we will straight away buy. then realised that actually there are many many furniture that is as nice and also cheaper. So we got a lesson learnt, never buy at first sight. heheh u will be v busy for the next few months shopping le... happy shopping

hmmm..not easy to set the estimate budget till you have the first 2 quotation first u can either set aside a budget for the reno first,then the remaining goes to the furniture (vice versa). Remember not to exceed budget cos most pple will exceed budget and buy too expensive stuff

- set budget first. eg. $20k for reno. $15k for furniture. You decide which you area want to focus at (good furniture or u prefer more build in furniture). Do a spreadsheet on the furniture that u roughly need. I did my furniture spreadsheet first, then slowly go shop at the electrical appliances and see the market price of the items. - Shop around 5-10 reno companies. You can roughly see the market price of an individual item. Dont sign on the spot so fast. - summarise ur quotation on a spreadsheet. Narrow down your choice to abt 3 companies. Then individually go down to their completed flat and see the worksmanship - remember dont be pressurised by those reno companie's agressiveness. - look for reno books to see what kind of design do you want

Eh.. there is a type of "brick wall feature wall". Can be easily done. Its same thickness with the feature wall, just that they layered it differently to give u a brick feeling. i saw my neighbour did before no need to actually get the real brick and build la..keke..why hihihi and artching sounds like its so complicated leh?

hi redang, Chrome will tarnish and turn dull colour when in contact with water (if u dont clean the water off immediately). Stainless steel is better material that will not turn dull and tarnish so easily so stainless steel price is normally more exp than chrome lor. If its stainless steel for the price that u got, its really a super good deal

i like your White Lacquer Table (with stainless steel legs) it must be v exp right? i was looking for this type of table also but hard to find. Most are made of Chrome legs. how much did u get this for ? abt $2k?
