  1. Try to use a local freight company.
  2. Industrial and rustic are contradictory. Suggest you stick to industrial in order not to skew it into a bad infusion.
  3. I speak my mind and what I feel. It may not necessarily be nice, but the wise will give it a ponder.

  4. Avoid hanging bicycles on the wall. It has been a tad too cheesy as everyone is doing it for the sake of contradicting aethestics.
  5. Try not to look overly victorian or be obsesses with it. If mishandled, it may skew off your 'theme' to look like a contemporary malay home (which can be very tasteful if done properly).
  6. Invest in a better bedroom door. It detracts that cosy feel which you have spent a lot of effort in putting your home together.
  7. To be honest, this one look like a typical Singapore HDB home than a Scandinavian home. Did you ID advise you on the design elements in your apartment and affirm that this is a 'Scandinavian' theme home?
  8. Don't see any Balinese or Javanese elements in the furniture choice, not the bed nor the sofa.
  9. Kompacplus is aesthetically impressive and lightweight. But five years later you will remember this contractor's words.
  10. You have a very tasteful concept and wise enough not to fall into the trap of themes. Looking forward to see more of your ideas and furnishings.
  11. Get someone to paint a full length portrait of yourself and then frame it and hang there.
  12. You guys may want to spend some time at soon bee huat Pte ltd (not the most appealing name) across a couple of streets from hafary. Nowhere as atas but I find some tiles aesthetically nicer there. Go for a second opinion (and likely cheaper).
  13. Lining the walkway with pattern tiles narrowed the walkway visually and usually if one wants to use pattern tiles the floor space has to be big enough, esp as borders. Else it will give the impression of having "not enough tile" unless you intend to throw a carpet, which softens the house and you lose the industrial appeal. Don't you think patterns defy the minimalist look by giving complexity/messiness to a simple plain appeal desired by minimalists?
  14. This house plan is very tasteful and unlike many wannabes, able to exude the coziness and warmth even in an industrial minimalist appeal. Particular impressed to hear that it is owner design. Congrats and hope everything is well and on the way.
