I've been googling the causes for puppy deaths. I didn't know mother dogs do eat their newborn pups just like hamsters for several reasons like stress, immaturity. The last reason is that the pup is sick with no chance of growing up to adulthood & the mother will end her pup's suffering The recent puppy deaths were due to my baby ger "gap" her pups out of the whelping box. Now the remaining puppies are being separated from their mother except for feeding time. Still no news of the missing pup & I fear for the worse already. I have the feeling that my baby ger might have eaten the missing pup....

Angel81 & Ivy, thanks for the well wishes. I didn't expect to be a grandparent so early. I can only hope that the remaining puppies survive this small crisis and grow up healthy. As for the missing puppy, chances are that the puppy is dead cos newborn puppies are hypothermic(Prone to cold) & have very low immunity system..It will die also without any food too, somemore it's been missing for 24 hours already, so sad. :~

It's been quite a while since I last posted in my thread. Just a couple of days ago, my baby ger gave birth to a litter of 5 puppies which is truly just wonderful news to me at the same time. Aren't they adorable & it truly is amazing given the fact that the mother herself is a small size crossbred pedigree breed while the father is a bigger dog, a non pedigree breed commonly known as mongrel. How the puppies will look like as adults later on is still a mystery to me at the moment. The white puppy in the picture takes after the mother. (white with black spots) the dark and light brown puppies takes after the father. The black ones are somewhere in between as the mother herself have black colour and the face is like the father. Today I received bad news that 2 puppies have died and 1 puppy is missing. I hope nothing happens to the remaining 2 puppies & that they grow up fine and healthy.

Actually any contractor you engage, must be HDB licensed and approved to carry out any renovation works such as hacking, building works etc.. even if the contractor hired by anyone or even you, still need to be HDB licensed & approved.. For bank loans, yes banks will not issue any cheque to the owner as part of banking policy. But, you can request the bank to hold the cheques if you sense anything amiss. Also, if your hubby's uncle is in the age range of 60 and above, it will be difficult to get a loan unless there is a guarantor that meets the requirement in terms of financial stability & age range for the tenor period for the repayment of the loan that is.

I doubt so leh...Bank loan types are not necessarily processed faster. Alot of factors to factor in during the processing of bank loan application. Same for cars. The tenor period for the loan & the mortgage..etc Probably that HDB haven't finish with your case yet. You know govt bodies, take their time but very fast to chop $ one.

Stock market is volatile where there is no stability.. but property market is always a 'stable' one in terms of demand vs supply irregardless of the price. If you've looked around resale flats, even property agents will tell you that renovation plays a part in the COV other than the valuation. So maintenence is essential esp for market value whichever way you'd look at it.

Oh my, your place is definitely making me dizzy with envy. Yes, an old unit is not easy to renovate given that there are alot of things to replace. Just that it does not have to be a costly investment to last till retirement since not everything are permanent enough to withstand the styles that goes by throughout the years. But as long as you and your hubby are happy coming home to a lovely & cosy home like this, it is worthwhile taking the burden off your shoulder relaxing like this. On hindsight, if you guys maintain the home as it is like now, the value might be considerably worth the selling price should you guys want to sell it.

Wa, the dining light is very pretty with the strings. The "LOVE" picture on the wall is very simple against the red wall but looks good when the light comes on cos of the brightness shining. The kitchen is a bit small but sufficient for cooking and easy maintenence compared to big kitchens so you're lucky. Where are the pics of the furniture? hehehe still waiting for them. I think maybe you'd just do one wall of your room in a dark solid colour as the bedhead feature wall if you're willing to play around with the possibilities. You could consider doing fat horizontal stripes in 2-tone colours to elongate the width of the wall. Stripes are classic and won't be dated esp with the retro & vintage trend now. Gothic wouldn't suit with stripes as it is a medieval theme actually.

Your bro's room is the most fiery looking but I think maybe a more vivid shade of red would be a real killer than the maroon shade of red. I initially had the impression that your room would be in dark solid colour to offset the light you got. Somehow the colour doesn't show the effect of the light to the max. But overall the renovation looks good.

(I wish I came across your sis's photos earlier or else I want for my PS back then) Its the first I've heard of sink without hole actually cos I bought my Teka sink which already had a fabricated hole for the trap. So I naturally assumed all sinks come with fabricated holes in it.

Glad to see that your qn has been settled. Hmm, acid washing will definitely affect the furniture which would have been alot better if the furniture was delayed by a few days after the acid washing. But since the workers will be shifting the furniture first before doing any work, it is best to have some protection for the furniture also + you can treat the workers some kopi for their hard work also.
