    Sorry. But no expansion or contraction takes place for the hood. Lol the gap is only for clearance a few mm to insert the hood, it should not be too big. Just a few mm if it's properly done.

    No I don't think so. Hdb door handle is special double lock type. Don't think it's allowed to remove them.

    Hi guys, I have appointed ID and hacking works will start first on the 23rd this month, followed by HDB cement screeding. Thing is I haven't done the defect checks and ID say can do after the hack. Is this true? MMine is premium bto but opt of all. No tiles, basin etc etc. But there are defects on the door. So Can defect be submitted after hacking works begin? Or its strictly before reno works.

    basic rule all should know. there is no such thing as lifetime warranty. once all works are completed, 10 years down the road you want to claim liability from them? wait long long. they can prove that it is not their ''fault.'' there is no such thing as lifetime warranty other than it sounds nice to hear. but it doesn't work that way.
