  1. I am intending to write my renovation hiccups and write-up soon to tell what happened to me, by engaging a price attractive contractor. Please watch my post soon..
  2. Not bad.. make sure your Contractor had HDB licenses.
  3. Contractor Note of Advice - Make sure they had valid HDB Licenses, ask to show their HDB License passed with their Photo ID. - Do not believe in their words that HDB Licenses is not required. It is alright to borrow or ask on behalf on another company to apply Permit for your renovation. - Do not buy into their stories when they tried to ask for advanced payment. All make must be made in cross-cheque direct to the company. They will tell you that no need HDB licenses, it is alright as HDB license incurred a lot of charges to the company and the reason why they can quote you cheaper is because they no need to do all this registration and save a lot of cost. Make sure all cheque is payable to the Company and do not believed in their stories that it is in-convenience that they had to ask someone to withdrawn the money and pass to them. So may it be. This HDB licenses can saved you if you had dispute between them or you find them dragging your work. Or else, if anything happened to your renovation, under the law, no one is going to be responsible for that.
  4. Kelvin from Tau Interior is good and experience, although I never used him. He came to my house on Sunday to measure and tell me all the hidden / un-forseen. I regarded not listening to him and whatever he mention all came true and I ended up paying a lot so call 'un-forseen' charges, which is the same amount he charges for my house renovation with another Reno Id/Contractors. I told Kelvin before I had problem buying things and need to selected to let my wife see, he say it okay, his workers are available anytime as long I buy it, they finished it up. Remember, cheap things never end up good. I learn a very painful experience.. That why one of the few reasons his cost is higher is because of that. I think my parents renovation, I going to get him. Cheers

    Acid Wash

my house also the same, after the so-call chemical wash. my grout line disappeared. I dared not to touch or wash. I had cleared mop my floor, perhaps I should mop now after completed and see any defects first.
  7. Is this the same BEST I am thinking. I also purchased my Nyatoh Door at Best Industrial Pte Ltd, their showroom is level 3.
  8. so what is the root cause, is it the chemical wash?
  9. For nyatoh doors, you can tried Best Industrial Pte Ltd . they have showrooms at AMK. I recently just made my doors, they include lacquering of the door. I think my nyatoh was about $210 + 7% GST. Their handles was cool and pretty. If you are still using the HDB metal frame, than their handles best suite you. Not bad.. My door handler was a L-shaped with designer lock which cost about $40 + GST. Installation and measurement is FOC. My handle room door knobs/handle is display on the website.. silver L-shaped .. my storeroom also used that.. My door stopper is given free.. is a metallic designer door stopper, not those yellowish plastic one.
