Wow! I didn't know we can do all those rendering just from Google Sketchup alone?! Hey thirdrockdweller, mind giving some pointers and links to resources on how to come up with such a nice 3D plan?

Hi hcbing,

Glad you like the renderings I did. Must admit, it was painstaking, although kinda helpful in the reno visualization process.

The 3D was done all in Google Sketchup and rendered in Kerkythea, a free 3D renderer for the Mac.

There's a little bit of a learning curve going the free software route but I think it was worth it. Made conveying what the wife and I wanted to the ID way way easier :D

Do check out the forums on both sites (links embedded above). Plenty of tutorials and videos.

KIV Kitchen Sink

The wife and I are pretty set on buying this; Ikea's DOMSJÖ sink bowl (W62.4×D64.6, H22.9cm)

DOMSJsinkbowl.jpg

We really like the farmhouse/lab sink look and the huge dimensions are a must (to fit an entire wok).

Any suggestions for alternatives? No stainless steel though.
