Hi y'all. I'm planning to acquire a new home. I have an old corner terrace (>4000 sqft land) to tear down and rebuild a 5000sqft home. Does any have any recent experience with design and build of such a home? Can I do it at a budget of $750K? Any recommendations of a decently priced designer/builder/architect?

This is a very good idea for smal kitchens..

Actually is it possible to do such a design in a flat?

TS have you completed the fireplace yet? Can show us a photo of it? Sounds really interesting and i am also considering something similar

Actually not necessarily, because sometimes the darker colours tiles may make dirt/stains more visible than lighter coloured tiles

Agreed avoid the blue/brown bottle sold at ntuc, it has a bleaching agent inside, cannot be used on glossy tiles, will make them matt

Actually to avoid excessive moisture in the toilet, is it possible to just cover the air vent in the toilet?
  12. 1 point
Polishing with wax only makes things worst, trust me, i tried before

You can use something called HCL89 to clean your homogenous tiles and restore them with it I usually get it from http://hcl89.byethost10.com or http://hcl89.atwebpages.com Hope this helps you out

Seems like it, but TS says he travels for work so should probably be months in between usage
  15. 1 point
Yes i think so, thats why avoid the blue/brown bottle sold at ntuc
  16. 1 point
Hmm, the blue bottle one also avoid, these 2 products from NTUC seem to cause many problems

I think maybe your tiles are dirty due to non usage, how long was period it was used in between?

From what you describe it seems to be ingrained dirt and hard water stains. You can use something called HCL89. to clean the tiles I usually get it from http://hcl89.byethost10.com or http://hcl89.atwebpages.com One thing i like about it is that is creates like a protection like on the tiles so that it prevents such hard water stains or dirt from becoming an issue for your tiles Hope this helps you out
