Welcome! Hey must try. Sometimes due to the structure of the building AND the floor you are on you might still be able to hack. Anyway it doesn't hurt to try. apparently, they tend to approve for those on slightly higher floors... mmm Ya he's super busy. Was suppose to come my place yesterday (Sat) but he couldn't make it also. But i'm not in hurry so I'm ok. MMm Ya you'll have to come up with designs. He can suggest some things but he's not an ID though. You can source around for pictures and show him what you want. But like when you go to the tile shop, he wouldn't be walking around with you throughout the whole time..... After you choose the combination you want, he can help with the arrangement when the tiles are delivered to your house.

WAHHHH yes that's a smart move!! Must do that!

*sigh* when I went to my flat during reno I saw yellow stains ALL OVER the bowl. super sad. urgh

mmm Ah soon dun switch on Hp on Sundays. Try on monday? Jesper and Smallboy also. Native02 and Lushbelle's houses are completed by him. If want to come see his workmanship just tell me ok?

eh? I think my WC was one of the first few to be yanked up. But maybe the worker left it there for his convenience...

so three white walls and one green? cool! I really love the green. Wanted it for my common toilet. hehe I chose a different mosaic from the one in the mockup. I picked the white with silver foil and glitter ones.. mmm Think you might want to take a look at jesper's blog.. he also picked this tile.. he did mention something about the toilet tiles not being quite right. I think mine are acceptable but tiles vary from batch to batch. Yes pls! Do consider the wooden tile... I would have definitely gotten it if this were my own home. Forgot to add.. my common toilet tile is the black rough tile you picked for your kitchen (a little bit of glitter?) I don't see any staining problems.

You went to Sin Lek today? I loved the green tiles too but parents were afraid the repeated wave pattern will bring them headache but I really think it's fantastic. The MBR toilet tiles are from the mockup they have there? I have these also. Apparently the current stock they have are slightly different from what they have on display. They say vary from stock to stock. I think your idea of the wood-tile is VERY good. *why didn't i see that tile??* My near-white homo tiles around the whole house is now killing me cos I have to magic clean every day. So if you have near wood colour + the benefits of tiles... I think that's perfect.

mm What is your budget then? nvm nvm they can't earn from you there's plenty of people out there who want to earn your money. **edited** finally caught sight of your reno budget of 40k. 40k quite a lot le... they still DON'T meet your budget?!!!

mm Today my contractor didn't show wor.. mm must have been tooooooOooo busy.
-
mmmm I think 25k will be very reasonable. GOOD luck in bargaining!
-
WAH you calculated everything?? Then what about your own?? what is the calculation like? I think for my case, even if it's not a good deal.. I already squeezed a lot of FOC from him...

Your kitchen cabinet at $210pfr is really too much... but... you're only doing the toilets and kitchen so it's normal for your kitchen to cost more than ours (who reno the whole unit...) For us I think $100-$120+ is ok. For you... maybe $150-$180?

Tiling of walls and floor $3/psf - $3000 Plumbing stainless steel pipes (toilets + kitchen)- $850 Installation of toilet bowls and sinks - $240 Everything else was installed FOC. Instant heater and accessories. He didn't charge me for the electrical in the toilets. Bi-fold doors were included in the toilet charges with no separate charge in my quotation. I also got him to build a hollow block above the door cos it used to be a full height hole where the door was. Hot cold piping means what? mm I have instant heaters. so pipes run into the heater... and into my mixer tap, where I have one tap for cold and one tap for hot if I turned on the heater. Is that what it means?
-
mmm I just looked at my own quotation... My two toilets add up to be about $3400, plumbing and electrical included. (hacking cost is lumped with the rest of the house) So it really is ex. Sorry for my comment before. mm Mm Ya seems like the items you want cheaper is reasonable.. But I think for plastering my contractor also quoted me around that price too so I'm not sure if you can lower the price. Apparently, plastering is a very ex process. To be honest my box up unit at the kitchen for the sewerage pipes was $80... And sand in included in the tiling charge.

Ahhh got it. Ya! That Sunny also did the same for my dad! He moved the sinks around, put the taps on one by one for us to see. And my dad tried 7-8 taps and some of them he even re-tried. *faints* I was SOOOO embarrassed. But he's really really good. YESSS my dad does the same thing! Maybe it's something men are more likely to do. After we bought our lights and things I would DRAGG my dad away from all those shops when he suggested going in to see. ANDDD 2 months after we buy our tv, he saw a promotion in the newspapers and still insisted we bought it expensive!!
-
HUHHHH lol so I buy more expensive?? nvm nvm.. must tell myself buy liao cannot compare. otherwise more heartache. Good for you!! hope to see more work up!
-
huh altar inside store? mmm tot altar usually face outside.. mm So that's definitely going to be hacked? haha
-
haha What I'm more confused about is the plumbing work is split into so many. Mine.. change all pipes in kitchen and toilet cost $800. From your list I have no idea which ones I did do which ones didn't so hard to compare. As for laminate... tot for Supreme $4 is so-so. not cheap but not ex? I've seen cheaper but that looks ok. For cabinet... Works out to be about $130 pfr. I've been quoted $190 before so I think that $100-$130 is reasonable though we see $80-$100 ard the forum. At $130 have you seen his workmanship? I guess good workmanship is still ok. Congrats on getting keys! And what is that compartment thing in the last picture? In the shower area?
